I also remember the ALF cartoon series on Saturday Mornings. It showed what ALF's life on Melmac was like with his job, his family, and his friends. And I also remeber ALF-Tales, where ALF and his Melmac friends did crazy parodies of fairy tales.

The two cartoon series also have "best of" type compilation dvd's out. No word yet whether the Alfer will return to Fox.

Shame they didn't release more of them. Due, no doubt, to low sales. I'm disappointed that the ALFtales disk had a picture of Skip as the Tin Man from the Wizard of Oz, even though that episode wasn't even featured on the set. neither was Auggie in her Girl Scout get up, a screen shot on the back of the other Alf animated series DVD.

But it's still a lot better than what I wanted to do 10 years ago. buying a single bootlegged taped of TV episode for 10 bucks.

I liked the cartoons but could never really get into them. I was too used to ALF as the puppet.

I actually liked seeing his life and a little bit about what life was like of Melmac before he landed on earth.
