XERUS'S VOICE ARTIST FOCUS:

Today's V/A focus is the late Alan Reed. Alan was really famous for voicing that famous cartoon caveman, Fred Flintstone. Sadly, Alan passed away in 1977. But I'll always remember him as the voice of Fred as well as the other characters he voiced.

Someone just gave me some info that Alan was not part of Andy's Gang. Sorry about the misinformation.

ah yes. Alan reed was the first voice of Filmore Bear on Hoppity Hooper. But only in 2 episodes. You see, the first 2 episodes were the pilot film, and the series sold a few years later. By then Alan Reed was under heavy contract to play Fred Flintstone.

BTW, he also performed Cyrus Flugelhorn in those 2 episodes/
