Soda
To all the young'uns out there:
Soda used to always be in glass bottles, without high fructose corn syrup. It was just soda and dang, it was good. It's a fact of science that all beverages and foodstuffs taste better when encased in glass. (This is totally true.)
In the 1970's, to cut costs and increase profit margin, soda manufacturers, ketchup people, etc., began adding high fructose corn syrup in high ratios as a filler. Read your labels - it's the number one or two ingredient in a shocking amount of food/beverage items we use every day.
It not only compromises flavor totally but it's now known that our insulin does not recognize or deal with it. It is a culprit in the rapidly increasing development of Type II diabetes and one of the really bad guys in the American bodyweight battle.
It's very bad news so find sodas and other stuff that don't have it, in glass. You won't believe how much better they taste. Be good to yourselves.
Who invented and first styled the plastic soda bottle?
The brother of Andrew Wyeth, the great American artist.
Okay, class dismissed.
