adhearing sheer, stretchy fabric to foam head.

Hi. I'm considering trying to adhear (glue!) some sort of sheer, stretchy fabric (nylons? silk nylons?) to my puppet's new head in an effort to help her be more durable. her head is from polyfoam, (the rest of the body is cloth, stuffed). havent read anything yet about this. anyone have any ideas/experiance? recomended fabric types, adheasives, bad idea all together?

Not sure if it's a good idea or a bad idea, but you could try 3M's spray glue (the expensive variety in the black can). It works very well and dries almost clear (but not quite). Sorry I don't have the exact brand/model number for you.

Glue & Foam

Hi!

Glue and foam generally don't mix well...

What I mean by that, glue (will hold... for a while) will break down, will likely often peel at the edges with use, reduces flexibility, generally isn't durable.

If you're wanting to achieve professional looking puppets... Consider tightly wrapping the entire head in a layer of fleece. Then you have a base to sew other adornments onto.

Please don't think there isn't a place for glue, just use it sparingly.
