I had sent a letter to Carroll Spinney a long time ago expressing my frustrations and loss of confidence in puppetry. Lately I have been feeling discouraged about my puppet building. Yesterday, I introduced my puppets to a preschooler and was encouraged and refreshed after watching him interact with them. Then I had a nice surprise waiting on my desk today: Carroll Spinney replied to my letter. His message was short and sweet, but was extremely effective. Here is an image of his reply (on my business stationary!!)
