Part 4 (I actually did it!)
While Dimentio was sulking about David not being here, Zoot came back yet again! This time, it was to see Dimmie.
“Woot, its Dimmie!” The saxophonist said, with a sparkle in his eye, or it was just a glare in his sunglasses. It’s kind of hard to tell with him.
Pretty soon, Dr. Teeth walked over with a camera with an overly large flash. He probably stole it off of Web.
”Takin' a picture! SAY CHEESE!” The band leader happily said, while the camera made a flash that could peel the skin off your eyes, sorta like the stench of Clabbage Cobbler. Kermit was already onstage, and prepared for the song. The audience was cheering, and the frog was nervous.
“Okay, now this next number features a lovely lady that I never get tired of introducing. Because if I do get tired of introducing her, she'll karate chop me into next week.” Kermit nervously said. “But now, performing with, um, myself, here's Miss Piggy!”
The crowd started cheering even louder, as Kermit slipped behind the curtains, as they opened, where Miss Piggy was waiting for him, in a beautiful red dress.
“Merry Christmas, Kermie.” Piggy cheerfully said.
”Oh, thank you, Miss Piggy. Merry Christmas to you, too.” Kermit said, as he looked at her dress. “Wow, you really do look Christmassy in that red outfit.”
“Oh ho, thank you, Kermie.” Piggy shyly said. “Red is the color of Christmas, you know!”
“Red...?” Kermit asked. “Aren't you forgetting something?”
“I don't think so... Here, listen.” Piggy said, and then started to sing. “Red like the berry in the holly
Red like a reindeer nose
Red like cheeks in the winter wind
Red like Santa's clothes
Red is the color of the season
Red decorations on the tree
Red like a candied apple
Christmas is red, you see”
”Gee, Miss Piggy, I understand your point and that's all well and good... but I think you're forgetting about the true color of Christmas.” Kermit admitted.
”Really?” Piggy asked.
”Well, listen.” Kermit said, and started singing. “Green like Christmas holly
Green like a wreath on the door
Green like a hat on an elf
Green Christmas wrapping on the floor
Green is the color of the season
Green like a Christmas tree
Green like a candied pear
Christmas is green like me”
“It’s red” Piggy sang.
”It's green” Kermit sang/argued back.
”It's red” Piggy added.
“It's green” Kermit sang back.
“Oh, Kermit, honestly!” Piggy said.
“Just let me explain one more time, Piggy!” Kermit said.
Pretty soon, the couple started singing together. “Red like the berry in the holly(Green like Christmas holly)
Red like a reindeer nose(Green like a wreath on the door)
Red like cheeks in the winter wind(Green like a hat on an elf)
Red like Santa's clothes(Green Christmas wrapping on the floor)
Red is the color of the season(Green is the color of the season)
Red decorations on the tree(Green like a Christmas tree)
Red like a candied apple(Green like a candied pear)
Christmas is red, you see(Christmas is green like me)”
“Green like new life under the snow” Kermit sang.
”Red light sparkle in the trees aglow” Piggy added.
“Green like a hanging mistletoe” Kermit sang back.
“Mistletoe?” Piggy excitedly asked. “Kermie, you're so romantic! Maybe red and green should get together!”
”Okay, Piggy, sure.” Kermit said, then started back to singing. “Red and green candles in the window”
”Christmas cards are red and green, too” Piggy added.
”Red, red berries on a green tablecloth” Kermit sang the last solo line.
“Christmas is red and green for you” They both harmonized to the end of the song.
“... Kermie... about that mistletoe... kissy kissy!” Piggy said, as she puckered up for a kiss.
”Hey, Rowlf, how 'bout a song?” Kermit asked, to avoid the kiss, as he ducked under Piggy. “'Scuse me, Piggy...”
