Yes...a commercial for the movie 2012.
****! OMG seriously? XDDDDD Too funny... I wonder how many people he has told about this. I don't watch much tv, so I haven't seen the preview myself... but OMG thank you that just totally made my day.

My computer's calendar goes all the way to 2099, then it starts all over again at 1980.

Also, if the world is supposed to end in a few years, let's all just give up what we're doing and live in the fields as hippies. What's the point in that business merger if we're all going to explode horribly, anyway?

NOBODY knows when the world is going to end; only God does, and He's not even telling Jesus when the world will end.

One thing is for sure though, God doesn't promise tomorrow, and as such, the world could very well end over night, we'll never know, which is why we're told to live every day of our lives as if it's our last.

Does he tell folks about this group trying to make the world a better place, the DHARMA Initiative, too? :zany:

Very well said, exactly.

The funny thing it's in 2012, they will dig up and find something else to say to keep people worried.

I greatly feel that when the movie comes out in Novemeber, people are going to start to panic like it's Y2K all of a sudden and start preparing for the worst to come. But come on, is it seriouswly going to happen? Most likely, no.

Well... there could be a forseeable international disaster, no thanks to the dangerous Wahooos that run certain countries.... but other than that, I have to say this could also be a huge conspiracy dealing certain religious organizations to subjugate them even further... but I'm still a little weary... as I said, Boy who cried wolf.

I still say it's Boy who Cried Wolf. We keep hearing about the Apocalypse, and nothing happens... sooner or later something is going to happen, inevitably. By then, we'll have been trough so many false alarms we won't believe it and we won't be prepared. Do I think that 2012 is the end? Not really... but then again, with some of the leaders in this world, there is a reasonable hint of fear.
I think the point is to always be aware that it could happen. It's not so much a "fear" thing as an understanding that I could die tonight - and am I ready for that (spiritually)? And if I don't die, that's fine, because I'm set for when I do. This is where faith comes in. Please indulge me a minute as I quote a song by Ray Hildebrand:

"If I live, well praise the Lord.
If I die, well praise the Lord.
If I live or die, my only cry will be
Jesus in me, praise the Lord."

As you said, there's a fear that no one will believe it when we're REALLY up against the end. The tragedy of that would be people dying without being ready spiritually. So I agree that it's good to be a little concerned about the end- but not to stop there. To examine your heart & life & relationships and make peace with the fact that one day, it's going to happen, and am I ready?
