13 Years on MC... Gotta say I love you all!

Twas' 13 years ago I first discovered and joined Muppet Central and the forums(old Delphi in 1998, later 2002 restart) and I gotta say I love y'all. This is one of the only forums I'm still on, so that says something. As Muppet fans, the holiday period is often the most special as some of the most memorable moments(Muppets Family Christmas, John Denver) or important milestones(Great Santa Claus Switch) have come from Christmas-y stuff. And I think worldwide, across all cultural and religious divides, the holidays are a kind of resonance of what the muppets are about...well add zany fun and creativity/imagination to that.

Anyways, just wanted to say I'm glad to see this place still alive and kicking. In a way, I'm kind of glad that despite the big spotlight on the Muppets this year(which we all have been wishing for for the last 13 years on here), that it's still a relatively small and cozy place. And while I miss seeing the old regulars(Warrick, Jackie, Emmy, Joggy, Traveling Matt, countless others) of yore, it's good to see such a flourishing online community with MC, Toughpigs and especially the wonderful Muppet Mindset and the unbelievably amazing Muppet Mindset. Also cool to see some old timers like DW, Jamie Frogboy, and the occasional pop in by Luke and Warrick as WELL as so many new and passionate people!

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend, and that for those that have had troubling and challenging times this and recent years...and for people working hard or wishing for a dream...that 2012 provides a new chapter in your voyage!

Right on! Great day for a Muppety anniversary. And I've gotta second your last sentiment, about hoping for a good 2012. 2011 has been the most outlandishly horrible year of my entire life so far. I sincerely hope I never have another year as bad as this has been!

Btw, I found out where some of the 1998-2002 gang went. It's been almost a decade since I last talked to or saw Jogchem/Joggy from the Netherlands on here. Well he popped up in a recent tough pigs video

Glad I found this place too...and I am a member of NO other sites, unless you count my occasional contributions to my DA page. I don't join things -- nope, nope, gave up carpentry years ago -- so this is kind of odd for me, but like you, it's just too much d--d fun to leave!
