Well... Could be worse...

Over on the Palisades board, in the original version before the shake-up of mid 2005... 1000 posts not only got you Senior Membership-status, but you could customize your own status title.
Now, there's a new title system in place, you can't access the customizing title feature until getting to a 42nd title.
The highest we've gotten is Title 25: President of Toys at 10000 posts, the member who has the most known as Rainbow Watcher's been stuck there still at 11500 posts.

Here's how it works.

Here at Muppet Central, the title rank system's pretty simple, starting with 0 posts.
Title 0: Junior Member: 0 posts.
Title 1: Member: 30 posts.
Title 2: Senior Member: 1000 posts.
And that's the whole shebang fright there.

Over on the Palisades Toys boards, the system was as follows from when they opened their doors in October 2002, up until the Forum Crash of 2005.
Title 0: Junior Member: 0 posts.
Title 1: Member: 30 posts.
Title 2: Toy Freak: 150 posts.
Title 3: Toy Maniac: 300 posts.
Title 4: Toy Lunatic: 600 posts.
Title 5: Toy Psycopath: 800 posts.
Title 6: Custom Title Option: 1000 posts.
And all was good at the moment of your thousandth post, cause you could then customize your status title to whatever you wanted.

Then, when they hired a new Graphics Designer and the board got back up and running in 2005, there was a temporary system installed that went like this...

Title 0: Junior Member: 0 posts.
Title 1: Member: 30 posts.
Title 2: Senior Member: 100 posts.
Title 3: Desperate Housewife: 500 posts.
However, this scheme was quickly abandoned in favor of the current plan.
