A bit of an extreme overreaction, don't you think? I may have my reservations about the current format, but it is not as serious as a family member dying. However you may feel about the new format, there's so much worse things in this world than that.
Thing about this season is that it was filmed before the Netflix deal even happened, and after the HBO deal ended, so it basically relied on Sesame Workshop's own funds. It has not yet started filming under its Netflix funds, so we still don't know what would come out of that.
Plus, Season 56...
I looked through the episodes AAPB has for free. Seems they're offering at least a small sample of the content that was removed from Max back in August 2022. Obviously, they're a very small sample, but I am glad they're offering it in some form.
I think if anything were to happen with current cast members, they would probably just stop using them. With Mr. Hooper, it was a much different time as much of the human cast at that time was prominently featured, in some cases, as far back as the first season. They were as recognizeable as the...
While I get the feeling of being sad when they stop repeating stories from that long, I think it makes sense to have that era be phased out at this point. It got to a point where they kind of overstayed its welcome, and there's enough stories that exist of the HBO era that it makes more sense to...
I think however one defines as "modern Sesame" is purely subjective at this point. I would argue that Seasons 30-32 still falls under the "classic" era, since that does still have the magazine format. Some may even consider the transitional era where Monster Clubhouse and Journey to Ernie was...
I saw videos from that channel, but didn't even realize that it is from Sesame Workshop themselves. That's pretty cool.
Kind of wonder if we'll see some of the episodes that was pulled from (HBO) Max on there. Probably not, but we could hope.
They're not the same puppet. Not even close. Just because Louie has some design resemblences to Telly doesn't make them the same puppet. Telly has a more rounded nose while Louie's is more triangle shaped. Also, Louie and Telly were onscreen at the same time during A New Neighbor on Sesame...
Lyrics are in the description of the video. Copy-paste in case it gets taken down:
D! D!
D-d-d-d-d! D-d-d-d-d!
Disco D! D-d-d-d-d!
Disco D! D-d-d-d-d!
Disco D! D-d-d-d-d!
Dancin' all the day!
Doin' what you do!
Ain't no other letter
Dances like you! (Woo!)
D-d-d-d-d! Yeah!
Every day...
I don't think he'll be straight up retired. I think he'll still be around in some capacity. Just not like how he was a few years ago, where he was practically being pushed as being one of the main characters. He may end up getting a street story or two focused on him, and maybe become a...
I feel like if it weren't for this being the season finale, they might have postponed the airing of this episode either to the next season or to another episode of the season. And I don't think they'd be willing to air another repeat since they already aired 10 this season. So this is just...
Not since Season 42 (where they would repeat Season 40 episodes with literally no changes in segments) have I seen a repeat feel this redundant to the original. It's almost exactly the same as Episode 5101, with the only changes made is the R is for Ramps segment being replaced by yet another...
Least I got some use out of it, as somebody who cooks Homemade Mac and Cheese, this gave me a bit of a craving for that. The story itself is nothing really special. It really feels like a Monster Foodies segment, but stripped away of Cookie Monster and Gonger.
It is absolutely baffling to me...
Huh, that's interesting to hear. I was sick of that old gimmick even a few episodes after they started it. But I do get if it's effective for kids. Sometimes I even found myself thinking about that slogan in my own personal life, so I could see how it would be effective.
I am at least thankful...
While it does feel odd that they're repeating a street story from Season 51, when they haven't even started repeating stories from Seasons 49 and 50, as was talked about on Discord, the most likely reason was the possibility that they wanted to do something for pride month, but scheduling...
Fun fact about this one, Noel MacNeal directed this one. That does give me a little more appreciation for this story.
It was pretty decent. It has more of a plot, and is more in line of what I was hoping they'd do with their "Coming Together" initiatve (one of Season 53's biggest issues, IMO...
Boomerang, really at this point, has become Cartoon Network 2. Basically just another network for Cartoon Network to dump their reruns on. Kind of already was that way before their 2015 relaunch, but it's even more so now than it was before.
I was subscribed to the Boomerang app prior to HBO...
