Answer for Lu Critzer
Lu Critzer,
If you want to find a Sulley costume (from Monsters, Inc) this year, I've got some rough news. Just about the only place that you can find one is on Ebay, and even then, they're going for $150 - $250 each. It was hugely popular last year and sold out...
OMG, I am such a freak. I actually have it (the B&tB DVD), and I was so busy watching all of the bonus features on the 2nd disc that I haven't even looked at the 1st disc, and that must be where the "Sleeping Beauty" preview is.
Must go back into living room.
Sleep is no longer important.
I'm going as Sulley from "Monsters Inc" this year. The costume just arrived a few days ago, and it's even cuter than it looked on the website. Now if I can only find the right shades of blue & purple for my spotted face...
I opted for a costume on the cute side this year, because last year...
Yipe!
If anyone has any info on this, *please* let me know. I'm usually psychotically quick at searching the internet for specific products, but this one has me stumped:
Any of you who already have the "Monsters Inc" DVD may notice that the Pete & John of Pixar (director & executive...
Carmina Burana!!
Grail, you just gave me a hearty guffaw! We played selections from Carmina Burana one year, too, and WE TOO had to freakin' back-march to that sucky 7/8 time!! I thought that we were the only ones besides drum & bugle corps that suffered through stuff like that.
I see...
No doubt on the "Sleeping Beauty" complaint!! Considering the completely unique artistic slant of that film (Can't tell it's my favorite, can you??), you'd think that they'd be able to include it in this list. I was told by a Disney Store employee that it originally WAS included, but the list...
I believe that the "Music in Your Soup" is indeed on the DVD; I'll have to check to be sure, though. The above posts are dead-on; this one is unparalleled.
Another of my favorites, for the quantity of extras, great quality, and good Easter Eggs is "Moulin Rouge." If you like the movie...
Just a notification that I've recently fired myself upon discovering that I listed the Itzhak Perlman/little girl moment, and it has not a single Muppet in it. Got a little carried away with the idea, I think. My apologies! :(
*Sigh*
I have a recurring dream that Journey into Imagination has returned to its once-prevalent glory, Dreamfinder and all... only to wake up and realize that I will never again see "Captain EO" in 3D or hear "One Little Spark" the way that it was *meant* to be heard.
What really...
To Don'tLiveonMoon
Erin,
I know EXACTLY what you're talking about in the "Try to remember the things you've passed..." sketch. All of the machinery/landmark things looked & sounded as if they were from a nightmarish version of "The Wiz."
Exactly! I think it's rare to see today's contemporary singers attempt to capture the sound of another era, instead of forcing themselves to sound like every other artist out there right now. She did it perfectly... I could totally see her on Broadway after that.
I am officially firing my flesh & blood for stating above that Justin's hair sucked. It, in fact, did *not* suck... it helped him shake his groove thing!
Now, back to the regularly scheduled programming...
Completely addicted to the following:
Harry Connick Jr.
Aerosmith
Louis...
Scarecroe,
I *SOOOO* had the Smurf Shrinky Dinks, too! I have a vivid memory of watching them shrink over at a friend's house... thought that we were hot stuff since we were using the oven AND staying up "late" at the same time.
I'm a newcomer, but I have to agree with Quinn. I was knocked out by the new look... and I love the "Moving Right Along" motif!
The animated arch-occupants are a triumph! :)
A question for Crazy Harry
Is the Grand Californian anything like the Grand Floridian @ WDW? If so, I'll bet it was a nice, posh place to have to sleep, even *with* the stomach pains. :D
Thanks, Erin! :)
And howdy to Toni, also. I, too, have a vivid memory of cracking up every time that I saw "Muh-Nah Muh-Nah"... nothing can bring a smile more quickly than the sound of "Doo doo doo doo doo" in my head.
Oh, wait-- am I the only one with Muppet sounds in my head?
Byron FAQ
OK, it looks like there have been multiple requests for Byron info. I may indeed have to start a Byron thread... unless floods of money head my way in the next, oh, 5 minutes, shall we say?
LOL
"Sister Byron" sounds like a scary, British nun.
Hey Grail,
Thanks for the tip... I must search for this "stupid" thread. Family blackmail money is a great source of income... ;)
