Sam and Friends Book Read our review of the long-awaited book, "Sam and Friends - The Story of Jim Henson's First Television Show" by Muppet Historian Craig Shemin.
I personally thought this was the best Muppet movie in a long while, hearkening back to the feel of the original three. The best and most fantabulous bit is that - my pig is back! Eric Jacobson has FINALLY gotten the voice perfect ("Something So Right" sounds so close to her line in "Saying...
If I remember correctly from Jim's recent biography, Disney bought the rights to only the Muppets and not Sesame Street; ergo, they'd need to credit the Children's Television Workshop/Sesame Workshop. It's probably not for Kermit, but the setting, the script, the airing rights, things like that.
He doesn't really look like that Muppet anymore though! :-D
I thought the interview was fab. I'm a huge Colbert fan, and when he ran over to Frank, I could've piddled on the floor I was so darn excited. I think he and Stephen played very well off each other.
I was very stoked to hear him talk...
Gonzo's Hobbit, click the box and it should (theoretically) open in a new tab/window. Or, heck, try this:

Every bit of Muppet goodness from last night:

Darn tootin', and nice to see a fellow WWE fan on here. Two of my favs together for one night? So happy.
Yup, they're real: http://www.wwe.com/inside/overtheropes/hornswoggle-muppets-tattoos
Ouch, man. Truthfully, I think of wrestling as like any other sport, but with storylines, as though...
Hi folks,
Long-time Muppet fan, recent WWE fan - blame the bf. Since he and I currently have a long-distance relationship and neither of us have cable, we routinely have Skype dates on Monday night and watch the show together. Here are a few links if you'd like to tune in between 9-11 tonight...
Does anyone else dislike the "tell your friends they look like a Muppet" bit? Yeah, like I really want to tell someone they look like a pig...as much as I like her...
If you've enjoyed Sesame Street and the Muppets, you should most definitely see it. It's basically Sesame Street graduates college and goes, "Oh crap, now what?"
Try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPvZVdHDB4E
1. Theme - holy crap acid trip. That's what it sounds like to me...
2. Rainbow Connection - FTW. Love Hayley and River's voices, sound fab together.
3. Mahna Mahna - sounds just like the original, except I keep thinking the guy (since I know what The Fray normally sounds like) is going to hurt...
There's still so much that's labeled "Coming Soon"...perhaps things are added slowly to build excitement? They could probably load it all but want to tease us.
Nice to see so many fellow Al-coholics! (is that the right term? Or are we still Close Personal Friends of Al?)
And yes, he's completely underrated. Most people know him as the guy who did "White and Nerdy" or "Amish Paradise" and that's about it. Also, maybe they know the accordion. *sigh*
Many interesting points here...
1. Weird Al is NOT a "no-talent clown". In fact, I would bet my life savings he could do a heartfelt "Bein' Green". He's a smart guy with an amazing ear for music and pop culture, and he and the Muppets would be a dynamo combination.
2.
Sweet! How was it?
3.
I...
