Attention all BBBH fans -- Word at Disney is that in 2007 there will be a Bear 10th Anniversary Celebration, with a relaunch of the shows (maybe on PBS?), more DVDs, an album, and maybe even a movie and traveling show! Go Tutter!

Johnny Fiama and Sal, and Bear in the Big Blue House, will appear Monday, September 6 for the Jerry Lewis Telethon. Johnny and Sal will be performing their usual hilarious antics, while Bear will be performing a brand-new song. As they say: "check your local listings."

Guys, Disney paid over 50 million to own Bear in the Big Blue House -- more than they paid for Kermit and friends, actually. Obviously, you don't pay out that kind of cash if you're not going to continue to grow the franchise. Disney is a huge company with many departments, egos, budgets...

Did anyone catch the reference to the "CTW puppeteer" who was featured in the Vows (wedding) section of the New York Times on The Sopranos? (The context is that to get profiled in the highly coveted Vows section, you need a gimick, like being a Sesame Street puppeteer). Very funny!

Hi all, Bear from Bear in the Big Blue House will be appearing on Hollywood Squares this week, from January 12 - 16. These are all new episodes. Ta ta, Princess M.

It was indeed the real costume. The left arm is pinned deliberately, as not to catch on any unsuspecting child. It's easy to tell because the MGM Bears are all uniformly gold, while TV Bear has shades, variations in texture and color, and shadowing around the eyes.

From what I understand, some of the marketing and licensing people, as well as a small staff of builders, will move over to the space formerly occupied by the Muppet Workshop (and owned by Jane Henson). So there will still be a small Henson corporate presence in NYC, albeit not at the Muppet...
