    Remembering Gerry Parkes, 1924-2014

Oh, man... 2014's been a really hard year. R.I.P. Doc. One of a kind.

    RIP John Henson

Man, only mid-February and 2014's already been a really bad year for deaths of our beloved entertainers. In addition to John, we've lost Philip Seymour Hoffman, Shirley Temple, Sid Caesar, Ralph Waite, Russell Johnson and plenty of other notables. R.I.P. John. Yet another one-of-a-kind talent...

    Episode 1966

(My first post in quite a while; I only have access to the Internet every other week and when I do, I've been doing other stuff in lieu of stopping by the old forum. But... enough about me...) Anybody know anything of this episode? It was the only season premiere not included in Unpaved...

    Remembering Jane Henson (1934-2013)

This is the first time I've been on the Internet since Sunday evening, and just found out through the A.V. Club. Also, I'm not terrific with these things either. R.I.P. Jane. My condolences to the entire Henson and Muppet family.

Elmo Muppeteer Kevin Clash resigns from Sesame Street

This is just horrible. Hopefully, things will work out for Kevin in the end. I give him all the luck and support I can -- heck, even if (God forbid) it is the unfortunate truth. EDIT: I agree with ProboSawa and the others who've said so that we should remember the great body of work that Kevin...

    Remembering Jerry Nelson (July 10, 1934-August 23, 2012)

I just found out when I noticed an edit to his page on Muppet Wiki... I'm in absolute utter shock right now. Rest in peace, Jerry. I will always cherish the joy you and your characters have brought me. My thoughts are with his family, friends, and the whole Muppet/Sesame team.

    Modern Classics

Would anyone else say that the Matt Lauer/Cookie Monster bit from season 37 could be one?

Which performer should get a documentary next?

I think Richard Hunt next, or maybe Frank Oz. Frank seems more likely, I guess, but I'm still holding out on Richard.

    Favorite Song

"Follow Me" and "Dump the Stuff Out (Yucky for Sure)" [the latter from "Doomsday Soup"] are the two that come to mind. It's been a while since I've sat down to watch Fraggle Rock, to tell you the truth. Also, maybe "Ragtime Queen" and "Let Me Be Your Song."

Your Thoughts: "Pioneers of Television" with Jim Henson

I think today(?)'s showing will be coming up on my DVR, but I won't be able to see it until maybe a week or two from now.

Katy Perry song banned from Sesame Street Season 41

Now I watched it. Thought it was cute. Shouldn't have been banned.

Question about the Spongebob episode, "I Had an Accident"

Something similar was done in the "climatic" ending to The Ren & Stimpy Show episode "Ren's Brain."

Katy Perry song banned from Sesame Street Season 41

I haven't seen the video yet, but I can already tell you, that's crud. Thank you, YouTube commenters.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Old School Volume 1 CD Set

Finished. An excellent compilation of three classic Sesame albums! Now we wait for a Volume 2... (I'd personally be interested in the original Muppet Alphabet Album or Havin' Fun with Ernie and Bert or maybe even At Home with Ernie and Bert)

How's the weather where you are?

Scorching, 84-degrees-Fahrenheit, with the occasional breeze. *sigh*
