Still hoping to make it to the Library of Congress at some point. Does anyone know if the AAPB is still digitizing episodes or did COVID put that on hold?
Random curious question(s): Does anyone have any idea how often the AAPB adds new episodes to the online listing or if they've said how long they expect the project to take?
I remember this so vividly. My mom said after watching it, (I would have been about 4 years old) I came up to her and asked if it was true that I grew in her belly because I saw it on Sesame Street.
A spokesperson for Sesame Workshop told the Associated Press Bob, Luis and Gordon aren't going anywhere.
She also made it clear that HBO is not part of any of the show's decision making processes...
I loved those book and tape sets when I was a kid. I actually ended up learning to read at a second or third grade level when I was 3 years old thanks to a combination of those and the Sesame Street show.
It looks like their offering of older episodes has already expanded from earlier this month (some more Season 25 and later shows) so maybe this trend will continue.
For now it doesn't look like they're actually airing anything older than season 45. The older episodes so far are only on demand and probably on the HBO Go service.
HBO's online schedule shows Sesame Street on HBO Family every day except Saturday at 6:30AM-7:30AM and seven days a week at 8AM-9AM Eastern time. There's an episode of Pinky Dinky Doo inbetween.
Looks like, at least during the month of January, all the HBO Family episodes are from Season 45...
Am I the only one bothered by the fact there's no such thing as a zet? I mean sure there's a ton of fantasy on Sesame Street, but not usually in a segment that's so straightforwardly educational.
There was a slight mistake in the copying of 1452 apparently. It starts out as 1458, but partway into the first street scene, changes to the start of 1452. Since the file only runs an hour, the last few minutes of the show are cut off.
