My daughter has to make a puppet of a celebrity, and I'd like to help her make a rod puppet- by this I mean a puppet with a stick supporting the body, and rods that control the arms. Parts of it seem very simple and straightforward but I would like to find some plans online if possible. Does...
I'm trying to figure out how to make a puppet stand that I can mount on the wall. I really like the idea of a PVC rod mounted to a simple wood plaque (available at craft stores) because I know it would be easy to shape the PVC at a 45 degree angle close to the wall. What I can't quite figure out...
This is actually related to the Whatnot I bought 2 years ago, but since the people who read this might be more construction savvy than the other sections of the forum I thought I'd ask here. Anyway, I bought a whatnot and got the glasses for his eyes. But I asked that they not attach the...
Does anyone here know who made these 2 puppets?

I bought them on ebay, (though I'm having some trouble getting them from the seller), but thought I'd see if it was any of the talented builders here who did them.
So I've been out of the loop for a while- I had previously purchased all of the individual Season box sets and am going to pick up the Season 4 set soon. I just want to know if there's anything in the Complete series set, bonus feature-wise, that I'm missing out on by having the seasons...
Honestly I was a bit disappointed with my Whatnot last year- for whatever reason, materials used, or the construction methods, the mouth on my orange Whatnot was pretty badly made and not up to professional standards. I understand that in one sense, these are toys and are much more affordable...
Has there been any word on Season 4 being released seperately on DVD? I figured that there wouldn't be any mention of it before Christmas but possibly after.
Just posted on ebay with no reserve.

I don't receive email notifications from Muppet Central for some reason so if anyone has any questions about this auciton please ask them through ebay.
I've been away for a while so I don't know if this has been posted before, but check out the absolutely bizarre ventriloquist dummy that JC Penney is selling...
Has anyone tried to make replica's of these puppets? As my mechanical skills are better than my sewing skills, they seem like they would be fairly simple to make. I probably won't in the near future due to other obligations, but the idea has entered my mind and I wonder if anyone has tried.
Forgive me if this has been satisfactorily answered before. I've seen the question of Wembleys eyes before, and while I don't have a definitive answer, my suspicion is that there was more than one mechanism involved. What it looks like is that one mech rotated the actual orb of the eye, perhaps...
I just discovered the wonderful world of Sesame Street on Youtube, and am in heaven. I thought I had such a great memory but I'm surprised how many clips I'm finding that I'd long forgotten. What great Stuff! Anyway, I am trying to find 2 clips, both of which I am a bit hazy about:
1)Ernie...
From what I have gleaned from past threads, the real secret to the seamless look with Antron fleece, isn't necessarily the stitch used, but using the fleece's individual hairs to hide the seam. I've got a great puppet made of Antron, btu my one complaint is that the seams show. Can anyone...
I meant to post it at the time but got sidetracked. My daughter and I attended a Puppet Show by Swazzle some months ago and we really enjoyed it. We saw "Hazel and the Dragon" and were very impressed. As lifelong a puppet fan as I am, I don't think I ever really saw a live puppet show outside of...

Does anyone remember seeing them on Mister Rogers like I do? Man that's a great memory. The puppets had (and still do) have such a psychedelic 70's look to them. Nice to see they're still around.
Watching the lame Pepe extra about Miss Piggy on the new release of Muppet Caper and it looks to me like the Piggy that appears with Pepe is now covered in Fleece, instead of being flocked foam. Can anyone confirm this? It didn't change the overall look too much, but did alter the way the mouth...

Former Disney Imagineer and Henson veteran Terri Hardin is going to be hosting a puppet workshop this Sunday down in Anaheim. Sounds pretty rudimentary but Terri's very nice and I'm sure she'll probably be answering questions too.
Can anyone tell me the name of the song that Big Bird performs to on the Ed Sullivan DVD? I'm pretty sure it's a Perry/Kingsley piece, just trying to find the title. Thanks.
