It could have had like a 3 minute Liberace "mini-concert", and then more of TMS, then as a closing number, his "Someday Stole My Bird" song. It would've left room for some funny scenes with Gonzo auditioning for the number. I mean just before the UK spot, they have to literally END the episode...

...you can name 200 celebrities in 2 minutes.

Even when there is no music it doesn't sound very much different.

Well, it seems like if Disney doesn't own the muppet film, than they'll get next to nothing on the Blu-Ray.

Unless there's something juicy in it like some new special features, I wouldn't exactly be dying to buy it.

When I was 4 years old I had TONS of SS VHS tapes, here's a list off the top of my head. Count it Higher Learning About Numbers Learning About Letters Sing Yourself Silly Rock & Roll Sing, Hoot, and Howl We All Sing Together Elmocize Play-Along Games & Songs The Best of Bert & Ernie The Best...

If a film doesn't bring the dough then they don't get the goodies.

That wouldn't work, because if anyone BUT Kermit is the host/main character, critics start hitting that production with a baseball bat, yet they still go apes for MCC.

I feel sorry that the show got the boot so early. I wish it'd have lasted at least as long as MT. It just goes to show that puppet shows rarely manage in prime time unfortunately. :(

Sorry for bumping a pretty old thread, but I got the film a while back, so here are my thoughts. Since I never got the 2003 DVD the chopped features don't disturbe me too much, but I'd still have loved to have it. The holiday disc, yes it's obviously dumb, but it'd be nice to plop into your car...

I've so far seen season 1-3 of TMS, and that's the most he's ever done.

Well, it's official, even the S&W cut is leaked now. So basically everything besides the extended cut has been leaked. http://www.toughpigs.com/sw-cut/ Actually, it was quite funny and satisfying in my opinion even if it was less than 2 minutes.

Where's your proof? Also, if he didn't like TM, he'll either love MMW or hate it even more than TM.

Really nice thread you made here, muppetfan24/7, cool thing to discuss. If you ask me, S04ep18, Christopher Reeve, is pretty underated, and proabably overshadowed by its Star Wars predeccessor episode. But, the TMS episode I think is the most UNDERATED of all time is S3ep10, Marisa Berenson. The...

The things Hollywood'll do to get money nowadays. :)

I wonder how his "meep language" ever came to be, even at the beginning of season 3 he's not too much of a meeper.

This is too misleading, someone will think the movie is much better than it really is, though it is a good movie.

He rarely does anything on the show post-season 1, and even then he was more of a minor character. His biggest role was on the Connie Stevens episode Ep.102.

FINALLY!!!! This day has come!!!! Even though I don't own a Blu-Ray player, I love VMX, and I'm glade it'll be getting a Blu-Ray release, because I thought NBC/Universal just plainly forgot about the awesome TV film. When I get the cash and a Blu-Ray player, I'll surely be picking it up along...

No film in August really succeeds, heck the highest grossing film from August I remember is The Help at a final total less than $170 million. The odds really aren't for GOTG, and I think planning a sequel, and announcing an animated series is a classic counting your chickens before they hatch.
