"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

From what I can find, he's done some minor stuff - at the very least, a season 46 ep and the 2016 Christmas special.

"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

Alan Muroka shared some photos from the taping. They're spoiler-free, but there's a few surprises in there...

"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

Mike was pretty much just a friend of Gina's. Him working at the fix-it shop was a one-episode thing where he would babysit Gabi. I also thought he was too hammy; everyone else felt more "real" and he felt definitely like a "character," ya know?

"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

It's not really logistical to have every cast member back. Mike was only around for a couple of seasons; he wouldn't have been at the top of anyone's list, no doubt. From what we've seen, I think they got all the important people (except for maybe Gabi and I dunno Buffy, I guess?).

"Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration" special to air November 9 on HBO and November 17 on PBS

Yeesh with all these crazy jumping to conclusions and such. One page has Elmo/Abby dialogue - must be all about them! Page doesn't mention the use of archival clips - must not be any! From what I've seen across Instagram and the info we already know about it, this special appears more in line...

Top 6 Darkest Sesame Street Episodes

I find it a little concerning that the episodes with Julia were "honorable mentions," when they are far from "dark" despite dealing with a realistic matter such as autism.

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

The "core group" thing is definitely there still, especially in the marketing. It seems very clear now that the stars are Elmo/Abby/Cookie, with emphasis on folks like Big Bird, Grover and Rosita (and maybe Oscar, Ernie and Bert for good measure). All the rest seem like just supporting players...

    International skits on Youtube...

So this user has uploaded pretty much the entire run of Rechov Sumsum, but they also have something totally neat - the Israeli version of the "Shalom Sesame" videos, which just dub everything in Hebrew and kind of rending the whole point void:

Sesame Street classic clips on YouTube

Fridays are more long-form things, like an Elmo the Muiscal/Foodie Truck/full episode/compilation, not specifically an Elmo thing (it leans more toward Elmo stuff because they get bigger view numbers, if you notice).

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

I guess he's not very marketable - he's just kind of a bear-looking character without anything distinct about his design. That, and he's not really an *original* character.

Sesame Street Season 50 News and Rumors

A couple of omissions from that big group shot (poor Baby Bear and Prairie...and Gonger, and Julia too.) but it's nice to see Grundgetta, Herry and MUMFORD thrown in the mix.

Real NY Street Permanently Renamed 'Sesame Street' in Honor of 50th Anniversary

That was what was going on (source: me being in the crowd). As for Noel, he wasn't at the event. Paul McGinnis and Andrew Moriarty were there, so it might have been one of them.

New Muppet series in development for Disney's 2019 streaming service

I've been saying that for ages. I don't know why it wasn't done after those YT ones went over so well. Something like "Popcorn" or "Stand By Me" would've played great in a theatrical setting.

Video: Sesame Street Guest Star of Meet the Peetes...

No, just clips from the first episode and the "Days of the Week" song, which both seemed to be sourced from YT. It's on Hallmark Channel's website, or just go to ToughPigs and they have an article linking to it.
