Perfect in general or perfect for the role? In the case of the former - no one (not even the Muppets) are perfect. In the case of the latter - of all the Muppets that took on the role of introducing acts or being host of the show throughout the whole episode...none were as good as Kermit...

That wouldn't even work. Guy Smiley is too straight-laced for The Muppet Show. Besides that, Gameshow Hosts are notorious for being a bit pompous and I don't think Guy would fit in with the other Muppets.

With all due respect Rkunkler, putting up links to stuff on youtube is not a good idea, especially when you consider that you'd be linking to pirated material.

He also doesn't have the same personality that Kermit has either. Also I don't think Guy could have handled the other Muppets like Kermit did.

I would be a bit surprised if Disney admitted that they are able to release Season Two uncut. With music rights being the way they are, you never can tell. I think the best way to look at this is to keep an open mind. Hope that makes sense.

I think that one lists the US airdates. A better one is from the epguides.com web site which lists the airdates from the Midlands region. Oddly enough that one lists George Burns twice and omits Dudley Moore.

To further clarify (or confuse) the issue - the Jim Nabors episode is the *only* episode where Miss Piggy is referred to as Piggy Lee. Every other episode she is just either Miss Piggy or plain old Piggy. Same goes for the movies.
