My main issue with season 3 is, the episodes felt a bit rushed. Many of them were random stories taken from already-adapted story arcs that weren't even necessary by that point (Percy's Promise, A Scarf for Percy, the Trouble with Mud, etc), and while the Andrew Brenner stories were nice, again...

I'm definitely glad it brought Thomas to America.... In spiiiite of the fact that I feel like it's partially the declining quality of season 3 (I personally thought it was the second weakest season next to season 7 of the classic era).

Okay, sure. I'll be sure to pull an all nighter and totally not pass out mid way from attempting to watch them.

I've actually only seen the first episode. The filming quality does feel like season 3 of Thomas in a way. I've been trying to find the TV versions of episodes since I heard the VHS versions are edited.

So, this might not come off as a surprise, but um.... "Telephone Rock" is partially (and I did say partially) why the "Rock N Roll" VHS was my favorite back in the day (and why I ended up wearing it out. :P )
