I don't believe Ernie and Kermit sound the same, at least when Jim did them. Maybe towards the 80's, but in the 60's and 70's, I did notice a bit of a difference. Or maybe my ears are just broken and need to be fixed with a hammer.

On the subject of that song - I first heard about it on Muppet wiki since I never saw it on Sesame Street or on its own (I think it was only shown in season 25) and I really loved the celebrity and cartoon cameos. Dr. John did a great job as the yak himself.

In the "You've Got to Have M" song (or "Sublime Miss M" if you want to go by the pretty cheap official title), I just noticed Miss M herself has sparkly eye makeup on. (On another note, as a kid, I was always intrigued by how the M's make up her cute crown).
