I'm buying the Blu-Ray and hopefully one of my friends who own a blu-ray will let me watch it at their house.

An actual blu ray is cheaper than a portable one (isn't it supposed to be the other way around?) I don't know if this'll work on my T.V though. Do you only need a flatscreen for Blurays?
