TV Alert: "Count Tribute" Sesame Street episode in honor of Jerry Nelson airs October 31, 2013

After reading these posts I get it now. I was hoping that the Count would show up to accept his award and was a bit disappointed that he didn't until after the people who were presenting the award left. I guess I didn't realize that was the message they were trying to send. But now I understand...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

True. I don't watch "The Simpsons," but I'd make an exception if they did something like that. 'Splain, Lucy. What was the line? It's about time they did more with that other than just having Murray ask kids what the heck the word means. Yeah. Though I think the second girl might have...

TV Alert: The Count on Katie October 31, 2013

I can't help but wonder if the kid knew who he was and was just trying to be "cute" with that. You never know. I think I see the difference between Jerry's Count and Matt's Count now. I hear more gruffness in Matt's. I haven't really noticed it before and I think it's because it's sort of the...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Yeah. I know Jerry performed more characters than those 5 1/2. I guess they just wanted to go with those most popular ones.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

That's okay, Minor. I read the post at the bottom last, so I avoided reading your other post with the spoilers. :)

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

And to Johnny, thanks for that info. I know Kevin did prerecord Elmo's dialog for certain occassions such as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. I guess he was either required to or obligated to finish some things before leaving. I know about the "two-week notice" agreement before leaving a...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Now I am a little curious about this Count tribute episode since according to what I'm hearing, it's Matt as the Count in that one. But wouldn't that have been before Jerry's death. As someone mentioned, the street scenes were taped prior to Kevin's departure which I'm guessing would have been...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Yeah. I kind of thought it was Kevin's Elmo in street scenes and ETM and Ryan's is usually used in WOTD and some inserts. Just thought I'd ask about that.

    Fozzie in World Series commercial

Okay. I don't get ESPN2 or any sports channels which is why I didn't see it before. Either way, it's nice to see.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Actually, that wasn't me who mentioned that since I don't watch the ETM segment. Though that would have been cool to see. So I'm guessing that would have been Ryan as Elmo there if it was taped after Jerry's passing since I know Kevin's departure happened around the same time, so if anyone has...

    Fozzie in World Series commercial

Did anyone see Fozzie's appearance in the commercial during the world series, when everyone was saying "Wocha Wocha?" as a chant for Michael Wocka. I'm curious as to if this was something new or if this was footage from another one of his appearances. Any thoughts on this?

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

I have to agree. If they can bring back those, they can easily bring back othe classics like, Monsterpiece Theater, Grover the Waiter (though we still do see Grover/Mr. Johnson sketches), SS News Flashes, maybe with Telly in his Monster on the Spot attire if they can't use Kermit. Just a few...

Speculation: Sesame Street 45th Anniversary Possibilities

Okay. I know what you mean since I have seen the remake of that one with Richard as Forgetful. Yeah. It would be nice to have the original on DVD or something.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

"Make it fit." That segment might be appropriate for me considering how often I have to pack oodles of grocery bags into itty-bitty carts. GRRRR!! Maybe I'll take a look at that when I get a chance, or maybe I'll wait until it actually airs. We'll see.

Speculation: Sesame Street 45th Anniversary Possibilities

I didn't know that there were others. I thought it was shortly after the toothbrushing sketch that they brought in Richard Hunt.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Yeah. It seems like Ryan's  is seen more in inserts while the street scenes still use Kevin's probably because those are the parts of the show they taped earlier. Yet, a few earlier WOTD's still use Kevin's  . (Interesting note: I figured out how to work the smilie thing on my...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

Okay. Thanks Oscarfan. Like I said, Ryan's Elmo is good, but with more raspiness and less sweetness in the voice and maybe Ryan's is a bit deeper as well, but he's still good and sometimes it's hard to tell a difference so keep us updated on that.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 44

I agree with you completely. It especially frustrates me when people do that while driving or in line at the grocery store where I work. GRRRRRRRRRR! So does anyone know if it was Kevin or Ryan voicing him there? I'm going to guess Kevin, because I think the only inserts with Ryan's Elmo...

TV Alert: Frank Oz, Brian Jay Jones honor Jim Henson on The Today Show October 15

I know what you mean. I had hoped that the anchors would have had more of a conversation with those guys. It seems like the interviews shown were from past clips, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong on that.

I'm glad I caught that. I was a little worried because I haven't gotten my VCR set up and I have too many errands to run to sit through the whole thing today, but I caught the time. They said this should start at 8:45, so I'll keep my eyes open. Was that it? They did talk about the Muppets...
