We're still finishing up "The Amber Spyglass," not able to read more than a few pages a night unless we're on a road trip and have lots of car time. Still, we've been enjoying the whole series of "His Dark Materials" very much.

Ooh, ooh, I know this one! You're thinking of "Time Bandits," a wonderful movie directed by Terry Gilliam (formerly of Monty Python). I think they just released a 2-disc dvd set a month or so ago. :)

I haven't seen "Eddie and the Cruisers," but I know that part of it was filmed where I went to college. Maybe that's a reason I should see it... That, or the Rambo references...

Much as I agree with your point about Kermit loving Piggy, that's the most depressing thing I've ever read. I'm going to go hide under the bed and sing to myself for a while. ;) Actually, in my opinion, Kermit would find a way to save them both. And he'd save the theater while he was at it!

"Eternal Sunshine" was twisty, and "Ladykillers" was twisted. :) Actually, "Eternal Sunshine" is one of the best movies I've seen in a very long time. I can't recommend it highly enough. It's been a week, and we're still thinking and talking about it.

The last two movies I went to were very good. We saw "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" a week ago, and it was tremendous. Last night we saw "The Ladykillers," which was very weird, but funny! Tom Hanks was so bizzarre!
