HB reused this tactic many times over the years, so there are variations... Mayhaps he must be thinking of Sniffles the dog. he was one of Quickdraw Magraw's friends... or maybe Muttley from Dastardly and Muttley/ Wacky races... he did a similar thing, only with Medals in liu of food...

TDk has released a PC version of On with the Show and it's only 5 bucks! If you're curious, but were deterred by reviews, now's the chance to get it. Also important if you don't have a GBA!

They usully have a lot of old SS books round here... I even found one entirely about Biff the Construction worker... in pretty good condition too!

Grover sounded the most off... he's the Ed Wynn I was talking about... yuck... I feel that the Spanish Ernie and Bert are close, and sometimes (depending on the time that i was dubbed) Grover sounds alright. Kermit sounds completely off...and weird... Oddly enough Oscar and Big Bird sound...

I feel that they need to have some relevance to kids... and here's why... Remember Nestle Magic balls? Candies filled with a plastic ball filled with a toy? It was banned because some person didn't read the ages 3+ up thing on the lable... A but load of Toylines are scrapped like this...

Actually, I don't mind the cartoon stylization as long as we see less of those lord awful Cookie Monster posers... they get worse every year... :concern:

There was a skit of this... it was about 2 anything monster named Jack and Jill I forget how it goes, except fot the tune. They basically both tried to scratch each other's back... they then co-operate and both get what they want. I think Kevin Clash performed Jack... I'll see if I can...

I hate those *&^% things... over here, they get random family members to do their commercials, and the results are really bad. But the worst of it is when they have thick Bawstawn accents... ya know... dey pahk the cahh in Havahd yahhhhd?

I can't totally remember, but the songs were part english/ Part Hebrew (I guess mostly corus) but the skits were totally dubbed, as well as animated segments. It was VERY Jarring to me... all of them sounded like bad imitations of Ed Wynn.....

Actually, it's an okay show, but I never got into it. I mean, the angry play between the costumed characters and a few jokes here and there were all right, but I've always preferred SS over NZR anyday... apples and organges aside...

"They" don't market them as the cartoons, Sesame Workshop does. You're beef is with them, not Rix. Personally, I think these are great. I mean, seriously, does anyone remember what happened after Tickle Me Elmo? SS was confined to singing Elmo dolls, diapers, and a few assorted actual good...
