    The Chipmunks' Triumphant Return

Ahhhh... Back to Alvin's future. Pehaps the highlight of the Chipmunks got to the movies series.

    Cartoons can't smoke no more

No... it's about being pretty and thin... it's also about Doctors abusing the medical system by worrying us about the "Obesity" episdemic and selling us weight loss crap instead of actually finding cures for diseases. Once you can cure all disease, you don't need to go around purchasing...

    Speaking of triumphant returns...

You're kidding, right? Here's the original featuring Daws Butler as the Capn and Bill Scott as Jean LeFoot (A play on the real life pirate Jean LeFiet) http://youtube.com/watch?v=ILr8l4rbr70

    Sesame Street in the UK?

Kooky? I wish I had a Kooky! (Reffer kindly to Fractured Fairy Tales version of Hansel and Grettal).

    National Lampoon Movies

Does anyone else here feel that making Van Wilder and Rise of Taj is tantamount to Hanna Barbera making inferior copies of its own Scooby Doo? Of all the slacker stoner drunkard college kids movies, this was the BEST and frankly only good one. The direct to TV/Cable/DVD stuff is trash.

Show That Have Overstayed Their Welcome

Fosters, maybe... but KND has some of the best writing I've seen in years. The X-mas special (I call it X-mas for a reason) had a brillaint send up of Marvel comics, even mocking the purple prose of Stan Lee (mimicking his True believers line). Plus the scripts were written by one Mo Willems...

    The Chipmunks' Triumphant Return

Here's what I feel... Everything that made Underdog special and a satire are stripped down. he was a nebbish, not a sarcastic Raphael from the 80's TMNT wanna be. He was not the kind of superhero that you'd expect to fight well in battle. Polly was also supposed to be demure and kidnappable...

    Speaking of triumphant returns...

This is kinda old, but look who else made a comeback... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0c5X9eIRLc Yep... old Jean LeFoot, ze barefoot pirate. Granted, these commercials pail in comparison to the classic Jay Ward commercials, but this character hasn't been seen since 1984, when Jay Ward...

    Cartoons can't smoke no more

You must be a fan of my posts, dude... i say that exact thing all the time. We're dangerously close to not letting cartoon characters eat junk food any more. We can't even have cartoon characters on cereal boxes anymore. And are all the children in the country suddenly becoming thin? No...

    Cartoons can't smoke no more

Oops... well, everyone does it and no one really complains. I really should call them Mao's Secret police or something next time. Well, the ones concerned with censorship. But I feel that these groups are waving their power about way too much and just staying fringe groups that do more to...

    Sesame Street in the UK?

One word... DIALECT. When languages spread they do tend to change. Chinese has several different dialects, as well as Spanish. There's even a Spanish portugues hybrid called "Catalan" they only speak in some places in South America. So naturally, the language would have evolved over time.

Show That Have Overstayed Their Welcome

Firstly, next year, not this, and on Comedy Central. But don't get too excited... they're basically just the movies cut up into 20 minute intrervals. Well, they're just concerned with the fake Tweenage market that they'll look like fools pursuing. Why are their ratings down? "My Gym...

    Cartoons can't smoke no more

Getting rid of smoking in cartoons is once again sanitizing kids from reality. Plain and simple. You can't even smoke in a movie anymore unless you want to be reguarded as a porno flick. I hate smoking as much as the next guy, but these groups are becoming overbearing nazi wanna bes just...

    Sesame Street in the UK?

Maybe it's just a ratings thing... that's what usually gets rid of shows. Mayhaps they reran things too many times. I heard that England is notroious for that (Monty Python made fun of that many times, for example).

    The Chipmunks' Triumphant Return

You know, I WARNED people about that movie years ago... well, at least a year and a half ago.... And it's even worse than I could have ever dreaded... Let me count the ways... Underdog is a REAL Dog, not an anthropomorphic cartoon character. They gave him the darn wrong voice, so...

    National Lampoon Movies

What the shell is the point of National Lampoon's TV the movie? it seems like nothing more than a showcase for Steveo or someone like that to act like idiots and get kids to copy them. I also really hated National lampoon goes to the Movies or Movie Mania, since it just parodied sweeping low...

Can someone get in contact with Muppet WIKI or something? This seems like info they could use. I'd post it myself, but I'm afraid it could get deleted.

What sketches scared you as a kid?

And so wasn't Julie "Mary poppins" Andrews. I dunno... I don't think it was supposed to be scarey, or people didn't register it as frightning. I always felt it was comic, myself. Especially the "Yeechhh" at the end. A worst case scenario that would have kids going "Dear me... I'm not...
