Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

Yeah, some of them were pretty weak. They either tend to be musical excuses to shove nutrition facts and the whole thing about family dinners into song parodies. Personally, I loved the Hamlet parody, and I wish they could do more play and less musical versions of this. I'd love them to try...

    Lots of MUP3's, Wanna Trade?

Anyone have the original Broadcast version of "New way to walk" by the Oinker Sisters? I have the album, version, and I don't like it too much. And does anyone have Roosevelt Franklin sings the Alphabet and Roosevelt Franklin counts....

Disney Channel Preps for Muppet "Mini Movies"

I will say that comment doesn't just single Disney out. Warners, Viacom, Universal... they are all the same, and they all utilize the most popular things over and over to get money. A lot of what any studio churns out is mechanical, inorganic, and just fake, and some of us just don't like it...

The most DATED thing on classic Sesame Street?

Pagers and beepers are out of date as well. There was some TV show that made fun of it, and I can't remember what it was. I think it was Arrested Developement. But the only thing that keeps telephones dated are the use of rotary phones, and phones that "ring" instead of have those prolonged...

    Internet DVD scalpers...

But I still think there's no call in charging multiple times for something just cuz some idiot at the company decided not to keep something in print, not even for archival purposes. And then if it goes up on Youtube, who do you think is the first one to pull it down? I will say these guys...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 38

Pretty good episode, great to see it comprised mostly of new things, unlike most episodes this season. Loved seeing Gladys again. Nice to see Jennifer is still working on the show (that's her name, right?) I swear that it's the "take a closer look" song Raposo wrote that they used in the...

    Season 38 Characters thread

Abby's Doll Prince: A small frog plush toy, with wide open muppet eyes, exactly like Elmo's. It wore a small golden crown. When she kissed it, it turned into a Prince doll. It kinda looked like Bert without the eyebrow, in prince robes with a pink cape. The AM at the end of the spoon thing...

    Sesame Street TV References

In last night's Family Guy, they had a computer projection of Joe with different leg transplants. One of them was big Bird's legs. You could tell from the pink stripes.

Rowlf and The Swedish Chef on Saturday Night Live

Maybe cuz of her freakish orange skin..... :D I have to admit, a cute little number, and they were pretty respectful in doing it. More of an homage than a parody.

    Animated Fraggle McDonald's promo

http://youtube.com/watch?v=q8iGTRq7C1k&mode=related&search=fraggle%20rock Pretty cute. I had them all except Boober and Wembly. And considering they're my favorite characters, You know how I feel about that.

What are you going to be for Halloween?

I have this great imported Kinnikuman mask my sister gave me for my birthday. Unfortunately I have no where to go, so it doesn't matter. I'm basically going to pretend to get through Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters 2, and feel dead inside being to old to Trick or treat....

Hey... I said Disco in this thread 3 years ago.... Not holding their interrest, maybe... Damaging and confusing, no.

Rowlf and The Swedish Chef on Saturday Night Live

Well, over the initial problem that having Andy as the Swedish chef being more sacrilegious to me than anything they did to Jesus on Family Guy (you all know by now I don't like him) and the fact that they advertised a cartoon that wasn't on the episode (unless it was the cold opening.... in...

    Sesame Podcasts

No, because all thses were filmed in a day or so for use on Sesame Street and the Podcasts. It actually makes sense that Joey just does voice overs as Murray. They probably did them all in a day or two.

    Taz-Mania

Axl had a breif cameo in an episode of Duck Dodgers. I think it was the Online Role Playing game episode. Edit... You may remember the familiar opening, but have you heard it's Italian counterpart?

    Funniest Fraggle Moments

Oh man, I loved that self joke about the Swedish Chef. When I first saw it I screamed "NO WAY!" and laughed loud for the rest of the episode.

Sesame Street DVD for injured veterans

Never should have happened in the first place is right. And I don't even mean post 9-11. I mean, all the crap we did in the 1980's (including the war against Russia in Afganistan) pretty much led this sort of thing to happening. I'd love the same money hungering war mongering wag the...
