    Too old for Sesame Street

Every children's activity is too PC... the problem is kids don't go out and play enough, and now kids can't have any strenuous activity at schools. Tag is now considered sexual harassment, Dodgeball could result in law suits... Fact of the matter is, is there anything left for kids to do...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 39

Not so much Murray, but the Little Lamb. I reiterate, is there even time for anything else if these 2 are recurring daily segments? I really think they should be alternates or something (the other I refer to is the Ernie and Bert segment). I still think that taking characters out to the real...

From the DrTooth Rant Files- Stupid New Game Shows

Aye! All this time I've been taught no one likes a bully, treat others the way you want to be treated, don't laugh or get shameful pleasure off the pain of others... and yet these shows are hits? Are people really that sadistic? Apparently so. Jim Henson's dream was to make others happy, and...

    The Videogame Thread

I prefer it as a video game than a cartoon, myself. but its still not my cup of mud. Gimme ol' Mario and Mega Man before they made his buster "Charge"- all it did was make his regular hits weak as heck.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 39

I think that the promotional version they used on Youtube (a lot shorter) would have worked just as well. I can't so much say its too long, but the rest of the show is too short. AS I stated, we got a 50 minute (give or take show)... a good portion of the opening an closing sponsers are to...

    Saturday Morning memories thread

Not Nick... Nicktoons. Even if you have cable, there's like a 30% chance you'll even get Nicktoons. They ^&%^$ took the Spectacular Spider-Man and shoved it on the line up for next year. And cable ain't so special. It's supposed to be about more choices? How come there are less and less...

What do you really want to see from the Classic Muppets?

I still think the only company to worry about is Columbia. George Lucas has agreat relationship with the Hensons and Disney, any Sesame Street appearance (while there were only 2 or 3) would be taken care of... I'm sure Jeff Scott would find some loophole for the Stooges Shorts to be used...

Disney greenlights "The Muppet Show" comics

I swear the guy who runs This site used to draw comics for Muppet Magazine. If any of you posters out there have a copy of the issue with Chore Games, I'm sure he did it. I have to be in the minority that likes the Disney Adventures guy's work. I mean, i like it a lot better than these Not...

    New Muppets Christmas Special

How could it and no way it could. All I can say. but it doesn't have to measure up. AS long as its better than Elmo's Christmas Countdown, we're golden. And as long as Disney doesn;t try to shoehorn their "stars" into this one. We need one that will appeal to everyone here...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 39

Peronally, I think that Joey wanted a regular character. Hopefully we'll see more of Murray and less of that annoying whiney voiced Elephant. Come on Joe, come up with a better voice for him...

    Too old for Sesame Street

Lemme just say this... Elmo getting 15 minutes of the show didn't bother me. Ernie using a Cel phone didn't bother me. but when they mentioned the term Play Date in the late 90's early 00's, my heart sank. Play date is such a suburban well to do soccer Mom term. "oh yes, little Muffy-kins...

What do you really want to see from the Classic Muppets?

Well, a movie and a TV show are clearly obvious from me. Hopefully that great Segal and Stoller one. But we also need: More Youtube videos, but more like Muppet Show skits, as the ones they have now are satires of what someone would actually put on video. A new TV special with more adult...

    Bernie Brillstein dies

That's how I feel exactly. While Jim had the determination and the gift, Bernie was the unseen muscle that helped the Muppets allong. As well as being a powerhouse in all these other people's careers... we have lost another giant in the entertainment business.

From the DrTooth Rant Files- Stupid New Game Shows

Well, Fox Kid's line up, at one point, was controlled by Hiam Saban (before it was Margarette Loche (sp?)). But it was a completely different entity. This is a prime time adult show game show, in case you want to know. Kids may like Hanna Montana and all that, but they're not THAT stupid...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 39

First off, I'd liek to help Count with the unidentified Sketches... the one you listed as country music L was actually a filmed insert where acrobats dance around, and from a letter L upwards. I forget the name of the troop that did this, but they were at the Acadamy Awards a while back. They...
