I have to say this... Watch Invader Zim, then watch Billy and Mandy in that order... any episode. I swear that Billy is basically Richard's impersonation of the actor that plays Gir....

    The Chipmunks' Triumphant Return

The ALVIIIIIIIIN collection was a start.... but consider how much it cost for as many cartoons that had been on it. They have huge blocks as far as music rights are concerned, and I don't think those will be easy hurdles to overcome. I still don't know why they haven't looked into the Alvin...

Who makes the principal Muppets ?

I think Sesame Workshop has their own puppet workshop. I cannot be 100 percent on that one.

    Cartoons from other countries

Lucas lets in references... I think some stuff has to work through legal. I've seen Japanese cartoons reference Star Wars to the extent of drawing characters into the shows. In Dr. Slump, Dr. Mashihiro (I think that's right... he's Dr. Slump's Rival) has a secret laboratory shaped like R2D2's...

    Cartoons from other countries

Asterix is my BOY, man! And Lucky Luke... I wish they'd release all the Asterix films in the US, instead of that Cleopatra disk that was made by a bargain basement lost copyright dollar store firm. It didn't even have chapter skips.

    The Chipmunks' Triumphant Return

another DVD release The Chipmunks Easter Can't say I've ever heard of that one... Anyway, the movie... There actually is a piece of Movie merchandise for the rerelease of the Chipmunks Movie (Holiday edition). They repackaged it (at least at Best Buy) With an Alvin beanie Baby (an...

    Save Pushing Daisies!

Dilbert actually lasted a full 2 seasons. Considering everything else lasted half a season, that's pretty sweet. But then again, Fox did pass on that show, and UPN got it.

Dr Pepper will give a free can of Dr Pepper to "everyone in America" !

I thought it was a free can to everyone in the US... I don't think anywhere else would qualify.

    Toon channels messed up

Have you ever seen the real old Veggitales cartoons? eek! Look almost as bad as the Brazilian Ratatouille rip offs. But then again, that was a small company. I was never way too keen on some animated versions of religious stories. Sure, I loved what Animaniacs did with The Garden of Eden...

    Toon channels messed up

All I can say about Puffy Ami Yumi's show... it's a good thing no one remembers a TV show called The Beagles, since they pretty much lifted the entire plot from them... you know the 2 musicians and their crazy promoter... Plus, the Live action segments were a million times more interresting...

    Cartoons from other countries

We do get a lot from Canada, BTW... Nelvana has always given us some of their stuff, as well as co-productions with US companies. Nelvana did animate shows like Eek the Cat, as well as Beetlejuice, Dog City, Care Bears (after DIC), Cyberchase, Jacob TwoTwo and countless others over the years...

What if Sesame Workshop and Barbie teamed up?

I don't see why not. After all, Fisher Price is owned by Mattel now, and Sesame Street is under their license. I swore I saw a TMX Elmo Barbie (which was bsaically Barbie with an Elmo T-shirt and a TMX Elmo key Chain) before... I think they'd be able to do something else like that for the...

Gervais to star in Sesame Street

It does kind of ruin the surprise in next year's press release... but it's great to know that we have someone of his stature next season... I mean, this guy is behind one of the biggest sitcoms currently in 2 countries. And there is no doubt in my mind that he's a huge muppet fan. After all...

    Cartoons from other countries

This is something I'm gonna get on a rant about. And a two fold rant at that. We USED to have an animation industry... but seems like all they want to do is make movies and DTV movies, and the heck with any sort of television cartoon. We've had a LOT of cartoons from other countries before...

Toon Disney... someone's gonna get TICKED

Here's something that I'd like to hear from you, pooh... apparently, one of the new shows they intend to air is one of the old Sonic Cartoons... unfortunately, it's Sonic Underground....

I never thought of that. Though the Murray's in the podcast I've seen were all reused from the show....

    Save Pushing Daisies!

However, I do say the new Mike Judge show may actually do well on Fox. I don't see any animated sitcom doing well on any other channel... Sammy, Stressed Eric, Father of the Pride, Gary and Mike, and Game Over pretty much provide evidence. But back to Daisies. Maybe if they actually run...

    Toon channels messed up

Because that crap makes money. And there is little room for growth if people want the same crap over and over. Sometimes these companies need to actually take a chance on something. Look at Heroes for example. You can't tell me that show doesn't have a budget that would scare an accountant...

Python's Dead Parrot sketch ancestor found

Common themes, I guess. Of course, if you want the real truth on where the sketch originated in the group, it was originally about a broken toaster. It was found unfunny by everyone involved, but then either Graham or John (most likely Graham... but that's another story) replaced the toaster...

    Toon channels messed up

Cuz they're losing viewers to Disney's bullcrap. That's why. I know it, you know it, every body knows it. Their overhyped unwatchable garbage is another nail in American Animation's coffin. That, the lack of junk food commercials (which fund a great portion of kid's television) and the FCC...
