Your Thoughts: The New Electric Company

It varies from PBS to PBS, but I know it's on Fridays. In my area, it's where the Ruff Ruffman episode would usually air... 5:30. Also in my area, it runs sometime Saturday Morning. But I can't remember what time.

Disney greenlights "The Muppet Show" comics

Yeah, this Gonzo is much, much closer to the real design... and who says no one listens to Muppet fans. I really like how he makes Statler and Waldorf really look human on that back cover. But that Dr. Teeth is simply amazing.

Muppet Robin Hood comic coming April 29, 2009

Ah, I think that's amazing... right there, having a different artist for Muppet comics really makes the idea pop (what I've been saying all along). The art looks a lot more storybook in this one, and considering that it is a storybook comic, I like that change. I really want to see more art...

Hopes for The Muppet Show Season 4

Hopes? I hopes we get some information about S4 coming out soon. That's the only hope I have at the moment. Of course, when we got word of Season 3, was it like 2-3 months before we got the news?

Your Thoughts: The New Electric Company

I saw the second episode Friday... was that Cousin Larry Appleton in there?

25th Anniversary Follow That Bird Edition!

What kid even still likes Teletubbies anymore? My local PBS hasn't even had it on its schedule for almost a year now. :flirt: But I get what you're saying. Though, I think FTB is a great movie for older SS watching kids. I mean, how many of them will get the "North by Northwest" reference...

    Non-Muppet MP3 Trade Page

DOes anyone have the Dexter's Laboratory CD... the first one, not the one with the rap songs...? On second thought, does anyone have both or either of these CD's?

    Saturday Morning memories thread

Oh yeah... that's what the announcers at the end of the prior program called it. Of course, SMB4 was the official unofficial title of the game. There's also These Bumpers where the characters themselves call it "Super Mario Brothers World."

CG Tom & Jerry, Yogi Bear & Jetsons?

I will say I'm no huge fan of Eisner at all. but the only good this new guy has done so far was to give the animation department to Pixar. They still are sequel happy, in the sense that they found a huge loophole, they can't do animated sequels, but what's stopping them from live action ones...

CG Tom & Jerry, Yogi Bear & Jetsons?

Yes, but there's a major, massive, gigantic difference. The shows you listed are all toy based. As long as there are toys to sell, those shows will be made. Of course, Sigma Six did horribly in the ratings, no thanks to frequent reruns... but Transformers has always been around animated in...

Make 'Em Laugh: The funny business of America to air on PBS!

I liked it as well, but I think that 6 segments is not enough. Plus, I'm disappointed outside of the Simpsons (and using a Family Guy segment to bring up a point) there wasn't any other mention of cartoons. I applaud them for mentioning MAD magazine in the satire segment, though. Even if it...

How's this for a bizarre cartoon DVD collection?

Apparently, they got in a more accurate list of episodes: http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Site-News-Sat_Morning_Cartoons/11227 Yeah, no way I'm getting the 70's set now. Other than Hong Kong Phooey, which I already have the complete series release of, there's hardly anything I'd want on that...

    Saturday Morning memories thread

Well, now we're entering technicality territory... Captain N is considered a separate series from Captain N and Super Mario World, hence why SHOUT! factory split them up as 2 separate DVD releases. So technically Captain N did end, but a new series was made basically to be a companion to SMW...

    Saturday Morning memories thread

But that third season was... BLEHHH hehhe huhhh...Uhgh! They shouldn't have forced Captain N and Super Mario World to share a half hour. Captain N was a much better show when they were allowed the full 20 minutes for story development.

    Rare Muppet Pbs Promo

It's very similar to the old monster eating the computer sketch, isn't it? I wouldn't be surprised if Jim himself wrote that bit.

    Top Film 2008

I also got to mention I really enjoyed Igor. I wouldn't buy the DVD, and I probably wouldn't see it again, but I enjoyed it. It was just delightfully morbid. Especially Steve Buschemi's role as the rabbit with an eternal life that's always trying to kill himself. Something I can't believe...

25th Anniversary Follow That Bird Edition!

I still think that's a pretty stupid move on SW's part...I know Elmo sells and all, but Ernie and Bert (especially Ernie) can too, and they had a much bigger part in the film. It's a branding thing if anything that Elmo's on the cover. I agree with what herald is saying, I do think some...

Why isn't there any DVD centering around the SS gang going abroad?

There was supposed to be something about the Hawaii episode on a DVD, whether it was what Old School set 3 was or if it was part of a collection... it was never explained exactly what. But it was confirmed that Buffy signed a form or something for the Hawaii story. I can't remember exactly the...

    2012 Theories

I'm just worried about a Boy who Cried Wolf situation. And we all know what happened in the end of that one... after multiple false alarms about the wolf, people were too apathetic when the wolf actually did come.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street on Scrubs

I have to say the Muppets were utilized a million times better here than they were in the Scrubs scene in VMX. And here's why... The VMX Scrubs cameo was written basically as a generic medical drama segment, with the cast basically appearing as an advertisement. The scene was written...
