What movie are you planning on, going to see?

And you have just uncovered the problem with every franchise reboot known to man. Let's say, we had a new movie with all the original cast... remember what happened with Indiana Jones, and how we had about a billion identical jokes about how old he was? And I really don't think a new TV show...

Couldn't Kermit be the face of all of the Muppets ?

If you wanna get ultra-technical, you could just as easily draw Donkey Kong, Bullwinkle, or Doraemon on the cover, as long as it's obscured enough to look sort of like the character, but not totally like the characters. As long as it's a small background character that's small enough to just be...

    Benny Rabbit

The thing about Benny is that the character was clearly designed as part of the 1993 restructuring of SS, which happened out of the necessity of filling in gaps left by people who were no longer there, as well as trying to squeeze themselves into a spotlight being taken up by new kid's programs...

SST to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at 2009 Daytime Emmies

Sesame Street has been through so many things over its long 40 year history... maybe even 41 or 42 year history, if you count the preproduction years... and I think the show has been struggling on and off since the 90's, due in part to people leaving or passing on, and the horrible state that...

    Hallmark Christmas ornament 2009

Oh man... this is gonna be a big year for orniments... so far we have the Chef, now look what other great Non-muppet ones they have... Ecto 1 Micheal Scott's desk Mr. Plow All really cool. I really want that Ecto 1 though....

Questions we may never know the answer

Answerable.... rhyme and rhythm. Clearly, they could have used hyena, but it probably wouldn't have sounded as good, nor could they work it in any better.

Who's going to see Disney's the Princess and the Frog

When it comes to my art, I usually draw things and sketch them out on paper first, scan them, and color/shade/composite them separately. Which explains why I haven't been able to do anything for a while. But enough about that. You know what I really miss in Disney movies? How they had...

Who's going to see Disney's the Princess and the Frog

Actually, I took a closer look at the poster, and it really doesn't appear to be CGI at all. The problem is that a computer graphic, no matter how high the definition is, has a lot of limitations. Upon closer inspection, I did catch what look like colored pencil like marks, or watercolor like...

Couldn't Kermit be the face of all of the Muppets ?

Hmmm... now I see what you mean with that... specifically, I think that a fair use Kermit should mean that the Henson company should be able to have the rights for non-Muppet Show appearances made prior to the sale, but that can be just as confusing as well.

Who's going to see Disney's the Princess and the Frog

You pretty much described everything in the business and entertainment world for a while now. Clockwatchers? Couldn't have said it better myself. Remember that set of Muppet playing cards in that tin that had the Chef holding the bottom half of a whisk? And then there were these Simpsons...

Couldn't Kermit be the face of all of the Muppets ?

I still wish they hammered out a Fair use of Kermit clause when they sold them to Disney. Something where he could still be the logo for the Jim Henson company, and his appearances could be more easily negotiated between Sesame Workshop and Disney. Disney would still have ownership, and...

    Your Thoughts: Abby in Wonderland

Absolutely. If there's one thing I hate about Elmo's World and stuff like that is you see the characters, but you don't see what makes them tick, their drive, their passions... etc. That dulls a character to me. But here we saw Abby explore her inner most desire, and how she comes to terms...

SST to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at 2009 Daytime Emmies

Wow. That Chris really came a long way in just 2 seasons. To be nominated that quickly is amazing. Right up there with the performers too.

What movie are you planning on, going to see?

]Speaking as someone who isn't a Star Trek fan, I really think people should give this movie a chance... even I kinda wanna see it (not half as much as Up, Transformers or Night at the Museum- again, only for Oscar). From what I heard... Spoilerspoilerspoilerspoilerspoilerspoiler...

Who's going to see Disney's the Princess and the Frog

Oh my, yes. I HATE these cheap new movie posters. The CGI ones, fine... all you have to do is move around characters and repose them in an exciting way... but the live action posters are just bad publicity shots with an unfunny pun slapped in front of it. It's a doggone shame that garbage...

Robert Zemeckis 'Buzzing' about a second Roger Rabbit Movie

From my recollection they own DC comics (which includes EC comics from the 50's), Turner properties (which includes Hanna Barbera) , and their own Looney Tunes... I'm not sure if Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, and all of those are co-owned by Amblin... I'm sure they are, since they needed...

    International skits on Youtube...

Gali Gali Sim Sim opening with Subtitles I guess they're only showing stuff they already had on that Putamayo Kids DVD... I would really like to see other international clips posted by SW themselves. They seem more like PSA's then skits, and Flu or no flu, hand washing and hygiene is...

Who's going to see Disney's the Princess and the Frog

I think Brother Bear was a good movie deep down. not a great movie, but it certainly did Native American legend much, much better than Pocahontas... I mean, it's one thing to change fairy tales and stories so that they're more child friendly, and include more characters (for licensing and...

Robert Zemeckis 'Buzzing' about a second Roger Rabbit Movie

Even a 1940's Superman wouldn't work as far as I figure. If you ever watch those, they were WAAAY ahead of their time, in terms of dramatic cartoons. Heck, Lois Lane, still in a dress, seemed like a front runner to the feminist movement. I'm sure he would have had a brief cameo, if...

Your Thoughts: The Muppet Show Comic Book

Far as I can tell, there are 2 basic covers that are found everywhere, and that aren't collectible varients that are store specific... both covers will be Roger's art... issue one's 2 varients would be: Issue 1 A and B and issue 2 A and B. I do not know which of each is rarer... and the first...
