I reiterate that it's yet another unfortunate side effect of 1990's kids programming. Elmo jumped into the spotlight at first out of necessity... Jim and Richard's characters were gone... Frank's characters weren't around as frequently... and after a while the whole reinventing of Sesame Street...

Really... 2 hours of watching a show that's essentially a commercial for himself... and he clearly got bumped by a bunch of crappy hick musicians and Rick Astley...I mean The Peanut Butter Jelly Time banana... I mean Dr. Robotnik... I mean Susan Boyel... man these old internet fads all blend in...
