Watch a Super Mario 3 cartoon sometime. That has the worst animation I've ever seen. And it's not that well written most of the time.

That's basically how I feel, and I have felt. I think Elmo gets the blame because he rose as the star when all this terrible stuff was happening to the show... again, I bring up the intense struggle of the 1990's, trying to find its voice. Elmo pretty much has carried the show for those kids...

It really does, now that you mention it... I'm sure I've seen Disney do this with a LOT of their telefilms... but this was on a Broadcast Hour (40 something minutes + Commercials)... I guess they considered it was a movie, despite the fact it was just a special and priced it as such.

The Disney Universe was one of the best things I've seen come out of that show in quite some time. That animation WAS great. And that brutal stab at the end totally floored me.... if it were me, i'd make a joke about budgets and all... but still... Really loved how Meg was drawn to be...
