Here's something very interresting I found out not too long ago. While Jim played Dr. Robotnik in the famous Sonic SatAM series, he was actually going to play Robotnik (as well as a few additional robots) in the original concept for the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog... here's the footage...

I'd wager there's all this licensing garbage about who draws what and who gets paid for it that keeps it down. I swear companies just make copy and paste style guides so they can negotiate one flat fee with one artist. They are kinda cool, but I swear I've seen some of those Animals on...

I saw buttons, too. It's a very slow start, but that's what the plan was... test marketing for later merchandise. And this is all leftover UK stuff, too. But hey, I remember a time when you couldn't even find Mickey Mouse stuff at the Disney Store.

Yeah... you'll occasionally see a Arcade machine here and there... and they really frown on people going to bowling alleys to play the arcade games (unless they're an amusement center... but I'm talking straightforward bowling alleys)... I once found a Simpsons arcade machine at a Burger King...

Funny thing is, as soon as it popped up EVERYONE hated it. The most I could fins on Youtube was a teaser they showed at Comicon or something, and half the comments blamed Disney for it. And Disney didn't buy Marvel until several months after the show was announced.

Clearly... it's an excuse to make more terrible 3-D movies. Remember that terrible "Journey to the Center of the Earth?" Hey... you know what could get people to partnership for this movie? Add in a few cheap, gimmicky 3-D scenes. Then you have pure gold.

I really was on the fence about this...It was based off those Hasbro "Super Hero Squad" mini-figure sets (the ones they did first with Star Wars, then followed up with Indiana Jones, Transformers, G.I. Joe... even Toy Story until Mattel bought the license) It looked cute and definitely something...

Plus, we coulda scared him off. :shifty:

I didn't realize it was foam based until I read your post... I assumed you meant the plastic bendy type toys. In the case of those, the best way to keep them in good shape is to pose them in one pose and never ever change it. The wires come out of the plastic... I lost a beloved Bullwinkle...

Just wanna pipe in that I spotted some of the first Kermit the Frog "Green" merchandise and Muppets Letters to Santa have just started showing up at Disney Stores.

Is there an echo in here? :D I just don't wanna see any members blow their money, again, on basically blank tapes that might still have logos and SLP VHS quality.

I don't see why not. After all, Nov. 10 is the day ALL the 40th anniversary goodies are coming out, to mark the to the day anniversary. Anyone else liking the weirdness that the book comes with a DVD and the DVD comes with a book? :sing:

Those INDEED sound like bootlegs. I honestly don't even see the point of buying from them... especially since Disney is planning to release all 5 seasons. They're dragging their feet a little with it lately, but it's definitely more of a commitment than their discontinued Disney Afternoon...

Just after I posted, I found out you were from the UK, and they clearly released them differently. I just didn't correct it. I'm sure they'll release the second one separately soon enough. That said, I hope they rerelease ALL the Pixar movies to 3-D theaters someday... I'm sure a couple...

That's insane. The movie was clearly advertised as a double bill. must have been some idiotic decision by the management of that theater so they can show that Meatballs thing on 5 more screens. I was able to see both in the theater I was seeing it.

You realize that he's contractually obligated to NOT leak out any info, no matter how minor... he could get fired if he did, and we wouldn't want that to happen. And I really do think it was just a one shot deal, and no further info or speculation is required.

Not in so many words, but I did kinda say that. These are generic "Holiday" DVDs that you buy for kids to shut them up for an hour or so. Plus the general DVD buying public are more likely to buy holiday DVDs than regular ones anyway. i can see why they're working that. What really nugged me...

I think the one thing I have a problem with muppet Robin Hood is that the writer, while he does a good job, doesn't really tell the story in a very muppety way until maybe the final issue. Half the time, you could swear he played it straight. While we won't get into Neverswamp until the end of...

Oh yeah! That movie looks brilliant. unlike a certain other movie based on a kid's book, this one seems to capture the spirit of the book while managing to be a great looking film all its own. I really really want to see it... and Astyroboy as well. If you haven't caught it yet, I HIGHLY...
