I'm not a follower of the show, but I read a weird news report a few days back. Apparently fans of the series LOST are trying to petition or pressure Disney into changing the Tom Sawyer Island at one of the theme parks into a LOST themed attraction.

Here's what I wonder... are they using some sort of cardboard, plastic or wire stiffener in the mouth? Seems the best open mouthed Muppet plush have something that gives the mouth a nice, stiff upper lip (if you excuse the pun)... Ones without them have bulges inward or outward of the inside...

The worst part is that I did everything through memory and my knowledge of Japanese to English transliterations of cartoon character names and phonetics. All I had to do was click a couple times.

Sad thing is I SHOULD know this. If I gave you one, you'd have to double check, since I can only really give it to you phonetically. I;m sort of rusty... However, I can tell you this. The lettering isn't kanji, per se... Kanji being the Chinese set of characters that make up complex words...

Okay... I was just at the Disney store and they DO indeed have smaller, Bean bag sized plushes of Dug. I'm guessing they were just test marketing what they had. They were badly burned by Ratatoullie merchandise not selling. I never did bother to get any of it, and I wish I did.

Trust me on this... I saw clips of Dora in Japanese once, and you can actually buy DVD's of Barney in Hebrew! Anything that they can dub will be dubbed and released for marketing purposes, and it's up to the country to accept it or reject it. Somethings even get more popular in other countries...

I'd tend to agree... but as much as I love Frank Oz, and how much I admire him and love his muppet work... I really think Eric Jacobson and Steve Whitmire have a much better chemistry. And I would love to see new non-clay segments... but I want to see GOOD ones. The last bunch have been fun...
