Rumor: Big Bird only in four Season 41 episodes

I think we're being a LITTLE nasty here. Every writer has strengths and weaknesses, even Shakespeare and Poe The lack of Big Bird seems to come from an odd comfort zone, and I just somehow think they didn't realize that he was in so little episodes until they shot them. It is easier to...

    PotDC Budget: Over $100 Million

That's the problem. I have to admit, I do like seeing the animated movies in 3-D, and some of the animated movies basically add pointless stuff specifically to make the film a 3-D film. Despicable Me had a LOT of gimmicks that weren't all that integral to the plot just so people would pay...

    The Best Sequels Ever Thread!

Too many sequels is a bad thing. Even if you do your best with them, people will HATE you for making more than 3 movies. Unless their hard core horror fans. Still wonder why the heck we need more than 3 Saw movies. But yeah, the original plan was to keep making more Shrek films, like...

    Pretzel M&M's

Oh yeah... The Strawberried Peanut Butter M&M's. One of the many different cross promotional flavors. That was from Last year's Transformers sequel. I'm so glad these temporary flavors are getting a new lease on life, if only for another limited time. LOVE the coconut ones. They're only...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street 20 and Still Counting DVD

Considering Lionsgates stance on Youtube, I can't begrudge them for not trying to pull strings and get some SS clips or any bonus features like that on there. In fact, i'm almost glad they didn't. :wisdom: But what exactly could they do? Any deleted scenes would have been permanently...

Rumor: Big Bird only in four Season 41 episodes

I don't think they're purposely try to get rid of the Bird at all... that would be a LARGE hole in the series right there... Elmo or no Elmo. Kids know Big Bird would be gone. They're not that mesmerized by the red one. Writers have unfortunate weaknesses... even the best of the best...

New Henson GSN show: Late Night Liars

I dunno about you, but I REALLY loved the line: "I'll stupid blonde you to death, just like Elizabeth!" Really... they need to get on the entire cast of that show MORE, especially her. Except Whoopie that is... I still like her.

    The Mr. Potato Head Thread

The plastic potato, while restrictive of facial feature placement is nothing short of an improvement over the original. You cannot have a REAL potato sit at the corner of a desk or on a book shelf. Well, you can technically, but it's not recommended.

No shirts, no shoes, no service, no more?

What about "No Dogs Allowed?" That seems to be completely null and void now. People bring their dogs EVERYWHERE. Snoopy must be thrilled.

    Your Thoughts: ABCs with Elmo

Actually... that sounds pretty cool and worth a look, but definitely not worth buying. At least if there's linking footage, they're doing something MORE than just taking recent segments and slapping them down on a DVD. Still...I'm wondering if the lack of classic stuff is even due to the WB...

    Decline of entertainment?

Horror movies are a write off. They seriously are. They all rip each other off, so making remakes was the natural thing to do. They're basically just junk dumb jocks take their girlfriends to so they can scream and hug the first person next to them, more or less, said jock. I once said...

    The Mr. Potato Head Thread

I've seen it, and lemme tell you something... it's HIGHLY underrated. Unfortunately I can't really remember it all that well, but I have vague recollections of the series. Basically Mr. Potatohead and a bunch of other weird food type characters (and a bug) all have a TV studios and they have...

    The Smurf's Triumphant return!

Would that be the Schliech (I can never spell that... same German PVC company that did the Muppets) Smurf PVC's? I see them around from time to time, but it seems I'm either seeing less places that carry them or some that have just started carrying them. Those things have ALWAYS been around...

    The Smurf's Triumphant return!

Now THIS is what I'm talking about! We're going to ACTUALLY for the first time in the US get the original Smurfs comic albums printed in English. unfortunately, I can't find any web page that links to the news, BUT if you go to your local comic store, they might just have a one dollar...

Rumor: Big Bird only in four Season 41 episodes

It would be a big long thread for me to completely go on about that, so I'll cut it short. I think SW still does a great job, and any changes to the show aren't the show's fault and unfortunately necessary for them to compete with REAL crap that doesn't have an iota of heart or brain to it...

    Your Thoughts: ABCs with Elmo

If I needed any more evidence that WB wants to release cheap little Elmo DVD's for mommy to buy to shut up screaming kids for a half hour, this is it. Really. No effort. Are there at LEAST new scenes of linking footage? Other than the Ernie and Bert clay thing, there is NOTHING any Muppet...

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

This film NEEDS that sort of input, I feel. And they just aren't getting it yet. Look at the Jason Segal project. They had a table read with all the performers. Don't you think that some of them said, "I don't think Fozzie would say exactly that, but he would say this" or "I like that but...

Rumor: Big Bird only in four Season 41 episodes

I just realized something. It may say that based on a rumor that Big Bird is only in 4 episodes, but do we know for a fact Oscar isn't going to be in a larger handful of them too? Seems like kids REALLY like him. I'm seeing more and more kid's stuff with Oscar on it... books, toys... we...

    The Best Sequels Ever Thread!

If I may... I feel that Shrek 4 ended the series on a high note, considering that they actually planned on making several more. And don't forget we still have Puss in Boots's movie. There's a lot of stuff I noticed about the fourth one... there seemed to be a LOT less references to other...

    The Best Sequels Ever Thread!

The Jungle Book 2 was painful. I will say John Goodman was a pretty good Baloo, considering both his original and recast voices were dead by that time (that includes the one who played him on Talespin). Add to the fact the humorless and slightly bitter widow of Louis Prima whining her head off...
