Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

Ironically, that's pretty much the reason WHY the film's not going to be made. Oh well, at least Corey stuck to his principles. I hope if nothing else Weinstine goes completely bankrupt because of this.

Brand licensing experts say MUPPET SHOW is #1 for revival!

Hasbro's just taking over the Sesame Street license from Mattel. After the lead paint Elmo scare, I'm surprised they didn't do it sooner. But all indications are it's gonna flood the market with Elmo crap again. And I saw those hats. The Fraggle ones actually amazed me, but that wool...

Katy Perry song banned from Sesame Street Season 41

I've been asking that for years. Everyone just wants to have the great feeling of taking something down I guess, or they want to pass on the same "values" (read: backward, xenophobic ideals) on to their kids, so they can grow up afraid of everything (and easily manipulated by the party of their...

Jason Segel talks The Muppets and his inspiration

Isn't that cute. You'd actually think those kinds of people would get allegory. And even if they did, they'd whine about how liberal that message was. I saw it as a slightly anti-Consumerist film... a lot less bludgeon you over the head than Wall*e (even though that one also said...

    More education?

But then again, there also lies that problem. A lot of people who work their way up get stuck at stuff that's either beneath them or completely out of their field that a high school drop out could do. Sometimes forever. There is no worse feeling in the world than seeing dreams die, so a lot...

Katy Perry song banned from Sesame Street Season 41

I don't see why that's never an issue, and presumably okay. It seems we're moving past that, but how come skit in question is so full of evil it has to be pulled, and I can go out and find belly shirts for 4 year olds that have Playboy Bunnies or the Penthouse logo or "Spoiled rotten" written...

Brand licensing experts say MUPPET SHOW is #1 for revival!

Snicker... Barney is being pushed off PBS (at least my local one). No one cares anymore. If he disappears the same way Teletubbies did, I'm gonna be thrilled. As for Sesame Street, well, I think they ARE making strides in putting forth OTHER characters and making shirts specifically for...

    More education?

If they absolutely NEED standardized tests, they should be smaller things accomplished in a small school period. No longer than an hour ONCE. None of this epic week long 3 hours a day stuff. Save that for SATs. And only math and reading. No history, no science... these should be short and...

    Season 41 Character Questions

I need a second look at TrueMud, and I'm gonna need someone who watches the show to know if any of the extras in the back are specifically anybody. Can't really remember the chickens except for Teryaki, but they were the standard brown chicken muppets, and they each had slightly different...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 41

Really seems like a LOT of Elmo-centric stories this season. Guess he's going to be part of every street story this year. The chickens really made the opening sketch a LOT funnier than it could have been. Really wish that a certain Thunderous Count made a cameo, though. Anyone else half...

Katy Perry song banned from Sesame Street Season 41

Personally, the most disturbing thing on Sesame Street was this Bird Cartoon Even now it just doesn't sit well with me, especially the deep, threatening male voice saying "BIRRRRD" while the eyes swirled. And the part where it lays an egg, with a very evil sounding sting... I'm glad they don't...

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 41

Shoot! I can't believe I forgot all about Barkley. I guess I was thinking WAY too hard and laughing like crazy at Telly becoming a Mad Scientist to remember. Really... best Telly Scene in quite some time. Funny that Oscar wasn't almost delighted by how angry Telly was, though.
