The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland: A look back

No... that's why a segment was put there. Otherwise any character, any character at all could have been chosen. Making it an Elmo segment was all about how popular the character was and how popular the toy was.

The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland: A look back

I've long been a critic of Blue's Clues for letting that monster loose on an unsuspecting public introducing that to children's television. Now everyone's doing it. EW came out of BOTh the rise of BC and the need to put their best selling holiday toy character inot a bigger portion of the show.

    "The Muppets" Official Movie Trailer

Again, it looks like a short "1980's cleaning up montage" parody in the movie.

What is your favorite childhood toy?

All I remember is the "Hey You! Get offa my... NOSE" And the "HEY YOU! You're breaking my... ARM" commercials. Those used to crack me up. I've been trying to find the commercials on YT, but haven't.

Weinstein rolls with Fraggle Rock movie

As I said, Jim would've had his own personal YT account and put anything and everything he could up on it. Animation, puppetry, experimental films... Jim embraced film and television that much that something like YT would have drove him nuts, just itching to take advantage of the new medium...

I knew that commercial was a bad influence!

Yes, but it also shows that someone who isn't even the least bit heavy (almost gangly, actually... a little cheesecake can do her some good) obsesses about her weight. Now, there's healthy questioning if that's a good idea to eat something like that, and obsessive obsession. She'd have to eat...

    "The Muppets" Official Movie Trailer

You know, I have to agree that the trailer isn't as spectacular as it needs be, but it isn't as bad as some people are making it out to be. Now, in context the fart shoes, I'll meet you half way. To me, Fozzie ALWAYS was associated with Whoopie cushions. Now, it seems to be a case of cuting...

    Sesame Street Season 42 News

I really had problems with seeing the Count counting on his pip organ too many times. Especially the time where he said something like "It's time to figure out...GRRRRRRR! what's the number of the day... Hmmmm!" That one came at the end of a LOOOOOOONG day of filming, didn't it? I love the...

Warner Home Video now distributing Sesame Workshop DVDs

I'm hoping best of spoofs doesn't have 1234 or Outdoors because... let's face it. Best of? They can do better. MUCH better. Seriously... Outdoors sadly has better lyrics than the original. I heard it, and it sounded like he made up everything on the spot and wasn't very good at making stuff...

Redesigned Muppets for "The Muppets" movie

It's my least favorite hair style too... well, second least favorite. Somehow, I don't think the character ever looked any better than she since season 4 and GMC... But the facial part of the puppet looks better with the MTM hair. Maybe because the other hair style just accentuates things...

    Sesame Street Season 42 News

I don't because they showed them way too many times.

I knew that commercial was a bad influence!

Those sound like THINSPIRATION to me. You know, the propaganda that anorexics push to say that what they're doing is okay. Yeah... just TRY to dump a woman if she gains weight. If you even manage to make it out alive, you'll wish you hadn't. With one line they did so many horrid things...

I knew that commercial was a bad influence!

You probably know of that annoying commercial where the thin woman is too afraid to eat cheesecake, and the slightly more attractive thin woman comes in and eats yogurt vaguely flavored like cheesecake and apparently lost weight over it, while the thin woman obsesses about celery sticks and...

Segal Might Love The Classic Muppets...

The thing about the Muppets is, unless there's a movie, there's never any real need for a bad guy or much of an antagonist. I mean, we can also sort of consider J.P. Grosse an antagonist of sorts or maybe even Fleet Scribbler... but even then, those guys are short lived. Sure, there was the...

Redesigned Muppets for "The Muppets" movie

The curly hair makes her relatively better than the one with long hair. Somehow, the straight haired puppet manages to look worse because of those proportions. Piggy just hasn't looked good since the 80's... I dunno what's wrong with the puppet building there.

"The Muppets: Being Green" Teaser Trailer Online

I tend to think that's a 1980's movie robot reference... guy seems to be an 80's savant after all. Not quite Wall*e, at least outside of the color. Gotta admit, I'm not too happy they used the overused Scarface line (too many movies use it, man) but I DO like how the Chef says it.

Anybody else find Red strangely attractive?

I... uh... kind of find her a 12 year old/ early teenage girl, if that's what you're asking! :attitude:

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

Well, with Buster anyway, he's an adult voice actor and always been one. Sometimes they have lower voices, sometimes they don't...sometimes they do that bad stereotype old person voice like you said. What bugged me was that episode where D.W. had Hiccups the second time and had the fantasy...

Redesigned Muppets for "The Muppets" movie

I also noticed with the new trailer the alternate Piggy puppet with her MTM hair style. Now, while it isn't my favorite version of the character (Great Muppet Caper, fool!), the puppet somehow looks better than the straight haired version. maybe it's just the hair or something.

    Sesame Street Season 42 News

Is... Is Sesame Workshop listening to us? Because I've been saying that the past season. They're listening to a nigh on 30 year old? Hmm. Nah, I'm sure that's just common sense to throw Ovejita in there. AND check it out... the tune in number segment is much shorter ! So more time for the...
