The problem with TMNT is that A) the movie was supposed to be the first step forward in a line of future movies... they didn't happen because Mirage and Imagi (which probably would have gone bankrupt anyway) couldn't agree to a plot and B) it seems to be more reminiscent of the Tales of the TMNT...
