Something I noticed about the TV spots

I betchya the Toy Story short gets more merchandise than the Muppets, though. I still find it strange they haven't mentioned this in any of the adverts. You'd think those who are on the fence about the Muppet movie would be sold if they get to see a Toy Story cartoon before it. But then...

Playskool's Sesame Street Line is available now

I don't know how many new ones were just released, but I just came back from Target and I found the Murray/Super Grover set. And naturally didn't have the money to pick it up. BTW, the band set retails for a reasonable 15 bucks each. That's still 3 bucks a figure.

Playskool's Sesame Street Line is available now

Either closer to Christmas or just after. I DID see some scalpers managing to get their hands on the Big Bird/ Snuffy set and charge a fortune for it on e-Bay.

    ANOTHER Muppet T-Shirt Design Contest

"Up TO $3.98 a piece! How 'bout that?" (valueless points for whoever knows what I'm referencing). Yeah, I see certain merchandise with different interpretations of characters. There's a real slant for a retro late 60's Peanuts look. I've seen different versions of Looney Tunes on various...

Campaigning for the Muppets to host the Oscars

But to put that sort of scrutiny on the performers is unfair. Not only that, but all that pressure... the performers could choke like James Franco did. Think of it this way, would you want to host if you were constantly afraid of what the media critics would say about you?

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Season 42

That somehow would have made more sense at the end of the Shape-oBots episode. There's numerous things I can say about today's episode, but I'll cut to the quick. I could deal with it either "It isn't so hard! See?" or an overly optimistic "this is good sign of things to come," But let's not...

Playskool's Sesame Street Line is available now

I'm very disappointed that the Count in the School Bus is molded into the bus and non-removable... but I'm sure he's coming in a wave or two. Anyone see the 5 piece Target exclusive Rock Band with Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, Elmo and Cookie yet? Probably costs a fortune, though. I'd LOVE this one.

Your Favorite TV Show: The Movie

That's good. These characters really need something better than that preschool show. I dislike the fact that it's a Dora clone and that Mickey looks wonky in CGI, but at least it brought them back... with Ludwig and Pete too. Still, I really wish someone at Disney would make a fully animated...

    Disney Store Muppet Merchandise Released

Just got back last night. The Fozzies actually look worse in person, only due to eye placement issues. Still, the nose should be a separate piece of fabric that just so covers the eyes. But I guess that's for child safety issues. The Animals, Rizzos, and Gonzos were sold out, there was only...

    ANOTHER Muppet T-Shirt Design Contest

Seriously... Disney should hire you to do more Muppet stuff. You and the rest of the Muppet comics bunch. I'm just glad that the winners weren't all pilfered style guide photos. That stuff's for official mass merchandise releases.

Something I noticed about the TV spots

I'm just pointing this out because I forgot one element of the movie's release. How come there's no shout out to the Toy Story short in these things? I know certain TV spots for Cars had reference to the short that was before it. I'd consider that being a nice double selling point, Come for...

Campaigning for the Muppets to host the Oscars

There is no Oscar Host good enough for anyone. I don't know who the they in this they is (probably TV critics), but they always put so much pressure on the hosts, and it's like they want them to fail so they can complain about it. Someone's too young, someone's not relevant enough, someone's...

Sesame Street Muppets on Garmin GPS

Why don't we get more Ernie and Bert on the show anymore? That was perfect! Heck, it's even better than some of the Ernie and Bert sketches on the show.

Your Favorite TV Show: The Movie

They call him Duck Avenger over here. It's Donald Duck's alter ego that started out as a vengeful phantom that slowly became a Batman type character. Basically it's his superhero identity. Some of the comics from Italy were pretty intense action comics. The idea came out of various letters...

Your Favorite TV Show: The Movie

I came up with that one well before I found out what the plot of the movie is, actually. Hypothetically and logically, there SHOULD be a worthwhile Looney Tunes film. But there's just something off about the formula that they haven't perfected yet. The first LT movies were just compilations...

The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Thread!

I got the preview issue a week ago, and it is basically what I thought it would be... the first comic WAS based off of old Peanuts strips, but completely redrawn in a different context. However, the second comic in the preview was a new story. I guess that there will be some new material...

Mid 90's Toons! (Tick, Rockos, Eek the Cat, Critic, Catdog, Family Dog)

I tell yah, I love that 2k3 TMNT series JUST for the Insane in the Membrane episode. That's like one of the BEST cartoon episodes I've ever seen. That's why I love egotistical punching bag Stockman over White n' Nerdy fly Stockman. He was the REAL villain of the show. Utrom Shredder, Tengu...

    International skits on Youtube...

Holy Heck! Garibaldo is CREEPY! Maybe it's that really deep low pitched voice of his. I wasn't expecting that at all. But hey, he sings Brazilian Portuguese "Everyone Makes Mistakes, so why Don't You?" I though only Plaza Sesamo currently was the only international Sesame Street that...

Cartoon all stars to the rescue.

Someone HAS to have ironically sparked up a doob and watched it. Yeah, there HAS to have been a better way for all these cartoon characters to mingle. And I don't mean "This is my childhood" 80's cartoon collage fan arts.

Boy, am I glad the Justice League movie never happened now...

Making a Justice League movie without Superman is like making a Muppet Movie without Kermit. Unless they do a Golden Age version that predates Superman's inclusion. He is the most popular member of the team... I'd wonder how Batman would fit in (He definitely wouldn't be like his Chris Nolan...
