Speculation: Potential Sequel for "The Muppets"

That's a sound idea, but I don't think the Muppets are good for another classic retelling just yet. Plus, if Muppet Romeo and Juliette happened, I bet we'd wind up with a human actor as both lead roles, and the Muppets would just comment on the action by the time the film is finished. That's...

    Opinions Obliterated?

I agree with Sgt Floyd's sentiment. This is the kind of thing you'd expect out of PS3 gamers, but not here. To me, there's a difference between pessimism and reasonable disgust. Like I said, it's not that I'm not happy some of us can see the special features, I'm annoyed that we can't all...

    Opinions Obliterated?

And like I said, a totally unnecessary one. It does a couple extra things and has more storage. When the internet combines with the entertainment industry for real, that's going to be a very big leap... we're probably going to have to buy a host of stupid gadgets and it's going to be...

Videos: Deleted Scene and Bloopers from "The Muppets" Blu-ray

Agreed. All I'm saying. Way to fend off against piracy. No wonder they wanted SOPA to pass so bad.

    Opinions Obliterated?

I'd kill for 60 bucks right now... but I would have a LOT more things on the list than something to see one movie's special features on. I get it, but it's still an upsell. I agree that digital download hasn't quite got what Blu-ray has yet, but it's all on the doorstep. I don't think I want...

Now what's going on with YouTube?

A good number of my "friends" were, but a lot of them aren't, you included. Of course, I subscribe to you and Snowth anyway.... so that wasn't an issue. There were friends that had some pretty wacky tastes that are similar to mine outside of the Muppets, I had to subscribe to them too to get...

"The Muppets" nominated for Kid's Choice Award

Exactly! Not the film Scholar's choice awards. Smurfs was just as candy colored as the Green M&M that Grouchy Smurf inexplicably fell in love with for no reason.

"The Muppets" nominated for Kid's Choice Award

Ahem... Kid's choice awards. Not seasoned theatrical scholars awards. And if it was, it's probably go to Hugo. I mean, that's a high quality, well done film, it looks beautiful, I kinda wanna see it now... but it's probably not an iota as fun as the Muppets was.

Can we PLEASE implement a rule against bumping old threads?

Ignoring's probably the best option, as the guy's doing it again...

    Opinions Obliterated?

Yeah! Throw a chicken at them. But other than that, the ONLY major pessimism should be used where it's most welcome on this board... Everything Henson doesn't actually do.

Speculation: Potential Sequel for "The Muppets"

I guess we can speculate that if Gary and Mary aren't in the film, it might just be another film entirely. That's kinda what I'm hoping. Still, I want Segel to have a nice cameo if he's able to. There's nothing short of nobility in his quote. I do indeed hope to see more of the newer...

    Opinions Obliterated?

I'd gladly pay extra for extras if there was a 2 disk standard edition. I'd gladly pay twice as much. But it's not so much that fact as the whole politicking deal to get us to buy more hardware that, let's face it, some of us not only can't afford and don't want, but find unnecessary...

    Opinions Obliterated?

I see what you're getting at. But, while it is easy to be skeptical about another Muppet movie being made, think of it this way. This last movie was made for 45 million... that's chump change, and it made a modest 88 mil at the domestic box office. While it isn't a huge smash hit, it wasn't a...

Your Thoughts: The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss

Thanks for searching for that one. That is a very solid kid's show. Pretty much one of the best things Nick Jr. had as far as original programming went, from the looks of things. Those are some of the most amazingly fanciful puppets Henson ever produced. It wall to wall looks like a Seussian...

    My Take on Artie Esposito

We were very mean to him, let's leave it at that. The problem wasn't so much Artie performing him so much as fear that something happened to Steve, without any prior announcement, and the long waiting period to see if he was okay or if this was a stunt by Disney to scare wage freezes into them...

Question about the release of "The Lorax" in March 2012

Well, considering I actually found a theater that showed the film "The Secret of Arietty," I made my choice, and I'm all the richer for it. Such a beautiful, sad movie.

Your Thoughts: The Wubbulous World of Dr. Seuss

I've ONLY seen clips. That's it. From what I've seen, it's much more Seussian than the current PBS Cat in the Hat show. But then again, it is kind of a strange concept to have a series center around learning about real life animals and their habitats from the world of someone who created...

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

That's the one teeny tiny complaint I have about older Sesame Street episodes. There's nothing wrong with long segments and all, but I've yet to see one that couldn't use some editing. Come to think of it, if they did, they'd be like 2 minutes long at most. I could take the obvious route and...

Question about the release of "The Lorax" in March 2012

I'm trying my darnedest not to want to see it, and I have to give herald respect for not caving into that dark, dark human instinct of morbid curiosity. I sorta half blame my childhood of watching Sesame Street for this, but I'm part grouch now, and something tells me if I want to complain...

Speculation: Potential Sequel for "The Muppets"

There IS no Muppet Canon. There's never been an attempt... VMX and the new movie made references to The Muppet Movie, and almost take them into their story line... but the new movie clearly refers to them as movies as well. Even if it didn't, it combined the first three movies into the plot...
