I know, ironically, TM, which is the most G of the theatrically released muppet films got a PG rating when the six films before it got G ratings. Obviously though, people should know that G and PG are hardly different films "age-group" wise as films like The Lego Movie or Madagascar 3 (PG-rated...
But, I mean I like it when muppet stuff is rated PG, because a lot of their work isn't G. It's also annoying that when people see a G film they throw it in the kiddie pile even when a movie like MTI or GMC are much more mature then the lorax or ice age 4.
Well, ya I can at least think of 2 episodes of season 2 (jaye p. morgan, and peter sellers) where there are bombs/explosions off the top of my head, but I don't remember any swearing and I just finished watching all of TMS s1 and s2.
Why is TMS season 2 rated PG? Hmm, I mean I think the muppet movies, almost all of them, should be rated PG for different reasons.
TMM - barfights, drinking, and guns
GMC - drinking, guns, "swear word"
MTM - Kermit gets run over by car
MCC - RATED G
MTI - drinking, fighting/peril
MFS -...
At the end of the day, at least we got something from Disney. Think about it, a decade ago all we had were those "Best of" DVDs for $22.95! Now we have 3 seasons on DVD, and if we want S4 or S5 we just search them up on YT. Though, I wonder if this would not be a problem if Jim were alive. I...
I've been thinking, isn't it ironic that the longest muppet movie in history, BY FAR, gets an "unnecessarily extended edition", but the majority of the other muppet films don't. I mean, ya, VMX and TM got deleted scenes, but only MWoO got an extended edition, but the film was only 87 minutes...
In Canada, basically all those sugar-coated kiddy films that are rated PG over here for absolutely NO reason, get the G ratings they deserve there. Also, films that get G ratings in the US get PG ratings in Canada (like GMC) if the ratings in the US are too inaccurate.
Why can't there be a thread where basically everyone on the forum gets and signs a muppet petition like these two. This would cause tons of impact and whatever company that we're petitioning would get a butt-load of e-mails all at once!
July 13,2014 and July 14,2014 mark the 30 and 15 year anniversaries of MTM and MFS respectively. Share your thoughts, and if you've seen it in theaters, your theatrical experiences.

Well, I guess all we have at this moment is petitions, so can everyone please sign mine?
Hmm, that is true, thanks for clearing that up, now that you mention it I should have remembered how Fozzie awed in GMC how there were so many credits at the beginning or how long the opening "scat" scene in MTM lasted, and all the credits before Rainbow Connection and after the movie theater...
I was wondering while watching some of the theatrically released muppet films how some of the credits for the films are extremely short, while others I fast-forward. For instance, here's TMM's end credits.
It doesn't even reach 3 minutes in length at 2:52 while some films have credits 10...
Actually, look at this.

Go down until you see the muppets on the wall and look at all the muppets. JANICE IS MUCH TALLER THAN FLOYD. In fact she's more or less Fozzie's height! Meanwhile...
I also love that episode. The Swedish Chef and chicken gag, Scooter going all Walter on Elton John, and especially the last backstage scene with Sam which cracks me up everytime.
Honestly, if this was picked up it'd still be better than Family Guy or American Dad, I mean it sucked terribly, but I still think it was better than half of what FOX has to offer, but with that dumb news report about TM 2011, well I don't think we'll see the muppets work with FOX ever again...
