dubbing a tape for private usage? yes, I believe it is a loophole in the copyright law. a dubbed tape will work, although some have slight tracking problems.

I'm glad I have that one on tape!!! I also have claymation easter, but only because one of the songs my great grandfather wrote (Please Release Me) is on there.
