<<Well, that is the God of the Bible and that's a different case if you even believe the Bible or not.>>
Sorry, but I must reply to this.
People believe different things; "Christians" believe different things. While some believe that God created the earth, others believe in the big bang...
<<Hey, I just noticed your signature. Are YOU the writer of the "Save the Vault" petition?>>
I'm the founder of the DC petition on petitionpetition.com
Go to the campaign page on Yahoo Groups; you'll all find a link there.
It's just meant to be fun. Whoopi was great & funny as always, and Heaven in a meadow with God's personal living room is a welcome all-too-common Hollywood version with stars and white smoke
One thing I should mention (And, in a way, kinda elaborate on Luke's point):
We live in a different world now. With "idols" like Marylin Manson & Eminem running around, it's hard to make every project another MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN or even MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL.
Now; don't think I'm...
But You look at the three theatrical releases since Jim Henson's death. To me, MT and IVMC seem to be geared more towards older fans, while MCC, MTI and MFS more towards the entire family. In a way, since Jim Henson's death, the company has gone 50/50, in that some of their muppet projects...
The film had a sweetness to it, but I just didn't think it had quite enough of that, 'scuze me if this sounds corny, "magic" as the first five full length films had. Now, don't get me wrong; I do love MUPPETS FROM SPACE & this new movie. And I do truly appreciate the departure & somewhat risky...
<<just...just...aw man what was that?!?!>>
I do agree somewhat. While it was solid and well done, I prefer my 45 minute MUPPET FAMILY CHRISTMAS DVD!
And Fozzie's line during the closing song was cut off by NBC! Did anyone else notice this?
Pretty good film. There were a few weak spots, but overall "very" well done!
(I loved the part with Yoda & the reference to Doc Hopper! Plus, that little duet between Kermit & Gonzo was awesome).
Two questions:
Wasn't Brian Henson just executive producer or something like that?
And Who...
Just voted; hope it works!
Of course, amazon.com has had both SONG OF THE SOUTH and FRAGGLE ROCK in this status for "months" now, so Who knows if it'll work?
But It can't hurt.
So, Come on guys. Vote!
This little guy is so cool looking! If only I had enough money, though (I have a feeling that $27 is waaaaaaaaaay below the reserve)
The page says that you're a former Henson pupeteer. Which characters?
<<the most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational Muppet movie since Kermit and crew took Manhattan 18 years ago>>
<cough> The Muppet Christmas Carol <cough> ;)
It'll probably be on DVD by next Christmas...
What'd be awesome is if they paired it with eiither THE CHRISTMAS TOY or the John Denver film as a 2-DVD box set.
I only subscribe to PEOPLE for the articles and photos, "not" the reviews.
Their reviewers are not as bad as the San Jose Mercury (The WORST critics, hands down) or ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY. But they're pretty **** close (Have you noticed that EW seems to give the most "consistently great"...
