When I first saw this on Noggin, I was actually quite shocked when Oscar had 2 chocolate ice cream cones! When I saw that, I was like, "What the ?" I thought grouches always hated ice cream! But I think this may have been made before they had Oscar liking wierd foods like ice cream with pickles...

But don't they often like make announcements and it interrupts the song? Or can you still hear the music?

Well, they do still use those same credits. But what I think would be MORE outdated are the Barkley and the kids closing credits that took place before that, and that old harmonica music. In fact, when I first saw those new animated ones in 1992, I actually cried. :cry:

I would have to say "Good Morning Starshine" since it was only used the first 2 seasons.

Actually, not only did I hear it on the radio, but they actually PLAYED the original opening theme! I was surprised! They also mentioned that Oscar was orange, and that Big Bird had a different look and a different voice. That sure was nice. :)

Actually, it was, but not within the context of the show. Occasionally, it was shown on "Deja Noggin" in between shows.

They never actually illustrated the word "PENCIL." But there was a skit where they were using a pencil for various different things, but the word "PENCIL" did not appear anywhere.

That is a VERY interesting question, Dante. But somehow, I don't think they ever were. They could have been in Season 19, but I don't think Olivia was on that much during that season. Maybe in Season 18 they were, but I don't think Gina was even a regular cast member during that season. I wonder...

Because they have so many other shows they want to produce, such as Dragon Tales, Sagwa, Cyberchase, Arthur, Maya & Miguel, Postcards from Buster, etc. etc.

Obviously. I think that any TV network has to pay for any shows they air.

That's because of their budget. They're doing this so that they can afford to make all sorts of new series as well.

At least, I think she was, but I'm not sure. I was watching this episode #2852, which I got in a trade last night from 1991. The street plot is that Elmo wants to be a grouch like Oscar, and he keeps saying "Go AWay!" and he won't give the trash can back to Oscar. And in this one scene, they...

But that's just a local PBS station. You see, I actually spoke with someone at Sesame Workshop, and THEY'RE the people to ask.

I'm not being negative. I don't know, maybe they will bring back Unpaved, or something similar so the adults can watch the old shows when they get up.
