It's a digital cable channel that DID ONCE HAVE something called Sesame Street Unpaved, which was a series of 67 episodes of SS from 1969-1989. You don't have to bother checking for it now, because it's long-gone.
This is very interesting. I DO have this episode, however, it is episode number 2432. I know it's wierd, because it DOES have no more than the first 10 seconds or so of the Barkley and the kids closing. The reason why I think this is is because the version of it that I have on tape, it's an...
Also in that same segment, you know how the harmonica plays for MUCH longer than usual? Well, it went for longer than the piece of music actually was! If you watch on the "W for Willy" part, the music loops very badly from the end of the verse to the middle of the bridge.
There is actually a blooper that takes place in this sketch!
If you look toward the end, on the line "'J', Jane, well, let's JUMP with Jane", on the word JUMP when they all jump up, you can clearly see the top of Frank Oz's head underneath the green muppet (Frank Oz) for about a millisecond!
WOW!!! Those were from an actual episode originally??!! When is that episode from?? Do you remember?! I wonder if Barkley and the kids was that way too!!
It would be nice if they used some inserts from the show, and made it seem like they were part of the special, such as the one with the Egyptian pyramid, and the one in the jungle with Dr. Livingston.
Actually, I can tell you all about that one! It was an alternate closing that was very rarely used. It was only used if it was a Friday show that was a rerun from 2 seasons back (which would have been the 1990-91 season), because back then, they were still using Barkley and the kids. They also...
The episode is about Maria ending up having to play Sonny Friendly's "stupid" games, and Celina baby-sitting a baby honker. This episode also has "Prairie & Cookie Talk About First & Last", the songs "Eight Balls of Fur", and "Would You Like To Buy An 'O'?"
I liked those, too. And I have heard about this one that was used from about 1974 until about 1978 or so, that showed hands on a steering wheel driving down a country road. Anyone remember this one?
