You just had to be negative and ungrateful, eh?
Quit ragging on Disney (aka the Muppets' saviors) and be glad that we're getting new viral videos starring the Muppets at all!
I don't think she was flanderized in that video. I actually laughed out loud at the ending and like that they did something different and unexpected with the character by making her a bit of a trickster instead of resorting to karate again.
Actually, Disney does own the rights to the Sam and Friends characters (Sam, Yorick, Harry the Hipster, etc.). Craig Shemin said so in a couple of interviews that he did with ToughPigs when the Muppets Character Encyclopedia was published. (Heck, that book even has a page dedicated to the Sam...
If it's alright, I've fixed the letter posted above and here it is now with the grammar corrections:
It's time to play the music, it's time to light the lights”... It's time for The Muppet Show Seasons Four and Five to be released on DVD.
Muppet fans have been waiting for the release of Season...
I think we need to do actual letter-writing as well, which might be more effective. Actual letter-writing is what led to Henson releasing the entire Fraggle Rock series on DVD.
And if the last two sets really didn't make as much money as Season 1 causing Seasons 4 and 5 to be held back, I blame that on the big economic recession that occurred back in 2008. :grr:
Then, why did Lylle Brier even bother to announce that Season 4 would be released in 2010 back at the 2009 D23 Expo?
Not to mention that on the MuppetHenson blog, it was said that Disney declined to comment on whether or not the seasons would be released, which I thought was a hint they were...
We also really should forward the new petition to the music rights-holders and celebrity estates, because Disney is truly the innocent victim here, because certain estates and rights-holders do tend to be jerks by not granting the necessary licenses to allow the shows to be released in their...
There's nothing wrong with Fozzie having a girlfriend and doing other such new things with established characters--it's called "character development". And they're not changing the characters either--again, it's all merely character development and just merely adding new layers to them and...
Frozen will not become forgotten in a decade! That's a VERY stupid and discriminatory thing to say!
Besides, people back then would've most likely said the same thing about The Muppets back when they were first starting out back in the 50s. Heck, the same thing would've been said about...
They never said that either.
I know that not all permanent closures have been announced on the Disney Parks Blog (Innoventions at Disneyland and the Backlot Tour at Hollywood Studios, for example), but I think that with a big cash-cow like Frozen, they would be more likely to make some sort of...
Don't even bother trying to imply anything. The Good Luck Charlie appearance already still angers me enough to make me not want to watch anything new with Piggy ever again and that watching her in anything new does make me a bit uncomfortable because her flanderization and character derailment...
Let's hope they'll make even more of them after the 70 have aired.
It would increase the chances of Vogel's, Rudman's and Linz's characters appearing as well as even more of the obscure characters.
You said it! The Good Luck Charlie writers still owe us all a big apology for destroying Piggy's character. Heck, even Piggy herself should probably apologize for her actions there too.
When the girl said that all bears wear hats, it made me think that she probably saw The Great Muppet Caper before this and remembered that exchange between Jerry Nelson and his daughter Christine. :p
