You should've seen the one I once had.It was a homemade big blue puppet, with a big round head made of foam.I think it even had white hair on it's head. The only two things this puppet had in common with Kermit were it's eyes and collar. :)
The whole episode had Lynn Redgrave and the muppets perform their own version of Robin Hood, with Kermit in the title role.I remember in one scene where Miss Piggy was somehow in a trap, expecting Kermit to rescue her and kiss her.But instead Gonzo approached her and started giving her kisses,and...
I agree that would have been neat to see.It would have been cool for Bob,Maria,Susan,Gordon and the other human SS characters to actually meet Fozzie Bear,Miss Piggy,Gonzo,Scooter and the rest of TMS muppets.A Muppet Family Christmas was a somewhat simular situation, even though the SS humans...
Yes!Fozzie is indeed an exception. In some ways Sam The Eagle is another exception.Though Sam is slightly higher strung,he's mainly a dead serious character. :attitude: :o
It seems that a lot of the muppet characters originally operated by Frank Oz are kind of on the hyperactive side.Bert was pretty hot tempered{though I would be too if I lived with Ernie}.Grover was quite hyper and seemed easily upset or scared.Put Cookie Monster into a pile of cookies and he'll...
I believe you're right Don Music.I also remember a scene where Bob actually saw Snuffy walk by.When he told everyone about his very first encounter with Snuffy, even Big Bird didn't beleive him. :zany:
When I was about 2 years old,I began attending nursery school at a modern bungalow house that had been made into a nursery school. It was there, believe it or not, where I first came upon Cookie Monster and Oscar The Grouch. These were smaller hand puppet replicas that sat side by side, each in their...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember Sesame Street having it's own magazine throughout the 1970s.I think The Electric Company also had their own magazine series.I still have a book called The Electric Company/Nitty Gritty Rhyming Riddle Book from 1973.A cute book with Electric Company...
Here are some of my happy muppet moments:/Turn The World Around/They Long To Be Close To You from Connie Stevens/The Stars Of Star Wars/Side By Side/Shields & Yarnell/The Great Muppet Caper/A Muppet Family Christmas :) :o
I remember hearing from a source, about some kind of fall out Frank Oz had, which was the reason he did not participate in A Very Merry Muppet Christmas.Do you suppose that could be partly why we don't see too much of Bert these days? :p :(
I wrote about this elsewhere on the board, but I recall a crazy but fun dream I had when I was about 5 or 6 years old.I found myself flying through the air high above city streets, with the sound of blowing wind the way it sounded on a few SS episodes I had seen.It was such fun.Flying dreams have...
In"Sad"the band members each have a hanky, while performing the song to the sound of a screaming audience.Their background is just a pale green colour. At the end of the segment, they all break down crying. :sing: :flirt:
In"Danger"the band is seen performing their song in a construction site, where brick buildings and stuff keep exploding around them. The song goes"Danger,Daaaanger baby watch ouwowowowout,WATCH OUT".The band members themselves shake with fear at the constant explosions around them. :sing: :flirt:
I love little Jerry and The Monotones! My three favourite musical numbers from them are Sad,Telephone Rock and Danger. They really are groovy!I so enjoyed their segments when I watched SS as a child.
