I was in Orlando when Jim passed away, and all I remember was a full page "in memorium" that had Mickey Mouse on it, hat in hand with a tear.
I clipped it, and have it in my "Of Muppets and Men"
The only thing I would have changed with the B/B tuxedo pack -
I would have painted Beakers Socks the same way they are in the Lab playset. I think it wouldv'e suited the character better, IMHO
Ken,
The auction was not removed by eBay, it was ended by the seller. When eBay ends an auction, you get a message 'The Item You Requested Is No Longer Available or in Our Database'
This just has the 'Bidding Is Closed For This Item'
This was just ended by the seller. (Symantics)
Actually, and please note: this is pure conjecture on my part,
I suspect that it is Walmart.
They have had a ton of exclusive toys in the past 18 months, and with the new vendor getting exclusives so frequently, they are a logical choice.
Also they sell more toys than Toys R Us (or at...
This is a holdover thread, for the Palisades Bretheren....
It was originally started by Residentlilly, to allow folks to share their Muppety finds not neccesa-ruly Palisades related.
I'll go first,
I went to a shop in my neighborhood called Cartoon Corner they had some very cool Muppet...
*sigh*
well, at least small/animal/mustang aint lurking about.........
seriously, I am dissapointed, I figured you'd at least be in the double digits by now......;)
I just assumed Ohio, I was not aware of Columbus Maryland.
I remembered Ken mentioning going on a vacation around Thanksgiving, and since it is traditional to hold weddings in the bride's church (which would've been a logistical nightmare, in my situation), I just guessed Ohio.
What I would do, is go to the Ebay search page, http://pages.ebay.com/search/items/search_seller.html and enter the email address of any Ohio livin' - Star Wars lovin' - Skateboard ridin' folks you know in the "single seller" box, and ebay will convert it to the User name that they are...
The scan looks quasi-professional, especially the inset of the back.
He might have gotten that from somewhere else?
But, on the other hand, he quotes the number of people in attendance (whether this is accurate or not....)
If the number is approximate, then I would guess that he was there -...
Likewise. Also let me know what you are looking for.
I have extras of series one, plus playset
Series two plus playset
Tux Kermit, EB Piggy, Blue Floyd
Thanks, Walker, that's what I was talking about.
Ironically, the bidder has the 'not a registered user' tag attached, so it looks like the $40 will go uncollected!
Seriously though at least
a) some one is trying to accomidate the Muppet fans out there
b) someone is buying all those series...
I was refering to the people who are taking the series one figures, and repainting them, and selling them... they look horrid.
They aren't even springing for the tux Kermit, just painting the collar on the regular Kermit white!
They look terrible, if you look around ebay, you will find them...
