Anyone notice how often the characters say that a certain animal performs in the band?
Kermit said a hen he wouldn't mind selling had a husband in the band. (Maybe he was refering to T.R?)
The brown-haired pig plays a clarinet as a part of the Muppet Orchestra.
A mouse (Miss Mousy?) is...
I just watched the "Searchin'" sketch and something hit me; for some reason I thought there should have been more characters in it that escape notice of Floyd and his back-up singers. Two of the three of them being the birds from "Sex and Violence" (one being OhBoy) and Lenny.
Anyone else...
Why'd they cut Vincent's final number from the DVD? I was really looking forward to seeing it. They should have cut out his skit with Sweetums, the houses and the final backstage segment if you ask me.
Anyone ever notice that in two episodes Gonzo and Kermit seemed to have slight conflicts in season 1? Maybe also it's implied in the times Kermit has played the trumpet at the end of the theme song instead of Gonzo.
At the mention of Juliet and Gonzo having to share a dressing room, Kermit...

I've often wondered something about the Kay Ballard episode. I can understand why Zoot, Floyd, Animal and the Trumpet Girl were leaving (Animal mostly because Floyd seemed to decide for him), but why was Dr. Teeth among them and went to the orchestra pit before Kay's number? I've never seen...
Which bird from Sex and Violence is considered a favorite by fans?
OhBoy-He made it on the actual series before any of his other "For the Birds" performers.
YouKnow-She appeared in the series after OhBoy did and often appeared with him.
WhatDoYouSay-I think he appeared for the Leo Sayer...
During the end of the panel of the Florence Henderson episode, you can hear Piggy exclaim "These are my brothers" and during the panel Harvey was on, you can hear the brown-haired pig exclaim "she's my sister". Anyone care to debate this?
Something I often noticed during the whole run of the show, exactly what Droop and Gonzo are meant to be is never brought up on the show. Droop is often seen with the monsters, but the Kermitage says he is one of the creatures, and Gonzo was refered to as "The little, ugly, disgusting blue one"...
Everyone describe's Uncle Deadly's head as "skull-like", yet dragon-like seems to suit the shape better, especially since the figure of him shows he has a tail.
Also, is he meant to be a monster or a ghost? Since he is regarded as "The Phantom of the Muppet Show".
(I think Florence and Juliet found the monsters "cute", and the guest star always is asked who he or she wants to perform with. *snickers*)
Who are the monsters in the cold opening? The ones I caught were;
Shakey (though, doesn't he also count as more of a "creature" than monster?)
Luncheon...
During the goodnights for Twiggy, Deadly appears trying to take her place as the guest, and Kermit doesn't seem as terrified of the dragon-like fiend as he was before. Is it possible to two of them worked out a type of deal that Deadly could perform with the cast if he stopped trying to scare...
In season 1 of the Muppet Show, Gonzo almost always seemed depressed about something; be it his personal life or the fact that he always got booed offstage when he attempted to perform one of his acts; it's my theory that because of the depression, he hardly ever changed out of the purple...
I wouldn't say Nigel the conductor is wimpy, how did that start? If anything, he seems to be passive aggressive. It seems as where Kermit would scream his head off, Nigel just makes a sarcastic comment that could count as a threat; case in point, he may or may not have been bluffing to replace...
For all the sarcastic comments Statler and Waldorf make, they also find good things to say about the show. It's possible that the show is just "too hip" and new for them to understand and so they try to make the cast feel small by insulting them.
Waldorf: "That's one of the reasons I always...
People say Lenny is a revised version of the Snake Frackle, but that doesn't make sense, since the Snake Frackle is the one with green fur and large chin. Maybe they mean "Purple" Snake Frackle, but that can be seen in the background of the auidience, too. Anyone else notice that?
When Uncle Deadly sneaks up behind Kermit in "Twiggy", Gonzo's eyes seem to widen with fright. I thought he only got this feature when Dave rebuilt his character, or is it possible that this was a first attempt to see how that feature would work on the original puppet and then abandoned for the...
"I'm Looking Through You" is one of my favorite musical skits, but I've often wondered something; when Fozzie comes back and swats the air with his hat, is he shooing away the bats or the ghosts? I say the ghosts.
